The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. I think it was a Steampunk or Perko. How's about you expert's out there. What are your thoughts? Your identity will be kept anonymous. Thanks. The makers mark was probably on the bottom of the burner that is no longer with the lantern. A couple of the solder joints for the cage across the glass are no longer in place. The glass in the lantern looks good. No blistering or cracks and appears wavy at the right angle. Check out the solid brass handle on this lantern. ... moreNo simple cheap wire handle on this one! The metal reflector plate is still in the lantern. Some corrosion to its' finish in places. Looks like the lantern was dropped at one time and the top bracket was bent in. These two antique ship table lamps are so wonderful. They really have seen a lot of use. They sat on a table on the ship and held candles. The swinging action kept the candles upright when the ship went through the waves. They could be hung up and still accomplish the job. They are very primitive and one is rustier than the other I purchased them for our home in Florida. We decided to go with a different scheme of décor and now I am obliged to sell them to make my husband happy. He just doesn't get the rust and I love it. Although they match really well. There are some discolorations here and there on the brass colored metal and some light surface scratches. The glass globe is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are no dents or dings in the metal. It stands 14" tall to the top of the handle. It is approx. 8" wide in the metal rack. The glass globe measures approx. 6-1/2" wide. VINTAGE Metal BRASS Nautical SHIP Light 5 sided glass 13" PORT/Starboard NR!!
This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 5 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. I cant find any maker on the light. It is 13" tall and around 25" around from the thickest section 9" Diameter. A great piece to have. Needs a good cleaning and polish. Please see pictures.

There are some stress cracks on the ventilator and there are soldered places on the font both of which we have attempted to show with close up photos. The wick on the burner functions well. The shade is heavy glass with ground surfaces on both top and bottom. The shade is 5 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/4 inch diameter at the base and 2 1/2 inch diameter at the top.
