Vtg Perkins PERKO Marine Boat Lamp Starboard Bow Green Red Glass Light Lantern
This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. I did not clean this. Left the original patina. I did however clean the Brass Perkins/ Perko identification tag because I could not read what it says. This light is very big. It measures 22" to the top of the handle. 9" wide and 7.5" deep. Its made if mostly copper with brass accents. The front glads is beveled. All the glass is in great shape. The right side glass slides up to get to the lamp. This has a latch that can be locked. Tray slides out to make lighting and filling easy. Here is a brass oil lamp is marked but is written in German I think please see photos.the The lamp looks to be in very good condition. It may be off of a ship or train. It has a bracket to mount it to a bulkhead or a wall that is with it. Just mount the bracket to the bulkhead or wall and the lamp just slides into the bracket so it can removed to refuel the light. This piece was purchased at an estate sale of a collector. I don't know much about it except that it is vintage from the 1960s-70s. I was told that it is extremely rare to see a Bakboord piece designed as an electric table lamp. The condition is excellent for its age. With the only noticable wear being on the wooden base. See photos for details. The lamp has three possible settings, 1-off, 2-just bottom part is lit(red glass) 3-both top and bottom are lit. The height of the entire lamp is 26. The top has a screw on cap to hold the shade in place. It was purchased without the shade. There are many images so be sure to scroll down to view them of this vintage Dressel Railroad Railway lamp& signal Co. rare Erie Canal Channel Bridge Lamp marked Mohawk. This kerosene lamp stands 23" tall to the top of the handle. The top is 5 1/8" in diameter and top is marked Arlington Dressel NJ USA. Around the top are words Mohawk Lamp New York State Canals. The lamp has been painted red at some point. I think it was originally silver. The lens is a clear fresnal 7 3/4" diameter and it does have some chips in the glass. This type of lens is used to focus beams for a long distance. The base tank is 11 1/2" in diameter x 3" deep and the wick is in it and goes up and down. The weight unpacked is 23 pounds. Very heavy. Antique Brass Copper Bridge Lantern/ Lamp With Light Bulb Socket
This lantern lamp came from my dad's garage. I can't tell what kind and guessing on the Bridge lamb.It appears to be in good shape. This lamp looks like a kerosene lantern but this one has a light bulb socket. It does not appear to be converted from kerosene I cannot find any company markings so your guess is as good as mine. DESCRIPTION FOR AUCTION: This is a very unusual find. It is an original automatic lamp changer that would go in an old brass buoy lamp light navigation marker or light house light. I have a brass marker lamp listed this week and this is a second mechanism. It has a wheel of sockets that holds 4 bulbs. As one burns out. The mechanism rotates and lights the next bulb. I can't find the manufacturer name on it. There are just some serial numbers. The mechanism measures about 5 inches across the base and about 6 inches to the top of a bulb. There are currently 3 bulbs in this one. It is a 110 volt mechanism. I attached it to a 12volt power supply. The lamps didn't light but the mechanism rotated when a bulb was removed. Here's a neat vintage item with red glass on one side and green on the other.no chips. I believe it is brass. see photos for a better condition insight. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. I believe, SGJ. Vintage Adlake Chicago Non Sweating Lamp/Lantern-Maritime Channel Marker Light
Pair(2) Antique Adlake Non Sweating Lanterns Box Style 1 Way Signal Lamps Red Pyrex Glass These unique lanterns were used by river lamplighter to mark the shoals on Big Lake George in the St. John's River(central Florida) I live near Lake George and know of this man. The son of the original lamplighter kept these and was in the process of removing galvanized paint and fitting them with electrical lamps to use as entrance lights to his home. Unfortunately he gave up on the project. You can see by the pictures that the paint has been cleaned off of one of the lamps. Very cool and Large lanterns. Each measures 16" inches tall x 9" inches wide x 9" inches deep. No guts to the lamps are inside. But you could display with candles, or wire for electric. Each is musty, dusty& rusty as shown in the pictures. Nice Rustic pieces. ... moreWould make great outdoor lighting for a maritime theme or displayed as is.
