Vintage Maritime Ship Light Spot Lamp Antique Marine Flood Fixture Ship Military
This auction is for one vintage ship spot light. We bought this fixture from a local estate. It belonged to a man that served in the Navy as a dentist. This was part of a large lot of vintage dental equipment that we purchased. We were told that it was from one of the many military ships that he practiced on. The fixture does work. There is a separate bulb socket mounted on the plate that supports the round light diffuser that is not wired. But the bulb in the center of the diffuser works(see pictures) Cosmetically, there are scratches and plenty of wear. It was painted black at some point and that paint is flaking and there is surface rust present(see pictures) It has been in storage for quite a while and it needs to be cleaned. This is a wonderful very large antique anchor light manufactured by Eli Griffith& Sons Birmingham. It measures 21 inches high with the base measuring 9 inches across. It has a 360 degree clear lense that is in perfect condition. No cracks or holes. The body of the light is galvanized metal. It has a brass hinged plate on the top. Small brass plate"Eli Griffiths& Sons Birmingham X49 over a brass plate with the word"Anchor" Below Anchor plate is a brass turn knob to open the hinged top. This is a kerosene light but it is missing the kerosene burner inside. The only flaw I see on this piece is a small dent to the left of the makers plate otherwise it is in beautiful original condition.

There are no markings on this light that I can find. There has been no cleaning or restoration done to this light, it has quite a bit of tarnish and natural patina. Perko Antique Brass Marine Running Light
This is an exceptional brass antique running light(port side-red glass lens) with a beautiful patina. The top hatch unscrews allowing access to the interior to replace a standard light bulb. The socket is included as is the mounting bracket so the item can be wired and mounted easily. I have owned this for many years having received it in trade from a barge guy on the Columbia River. Dimensions are 10 inches by 10 inches by 14 inches. It is heavy so shipping will be somewhat costly. I was planning on using it as a deck lamp or on my dock. Hope you find an interesting place for it.like a bar or a man-cave.

Large Antique Perko Light Lantern Oil Lamp. Never Seen on Ebay .
I have sold many oil lamps on ebay. I looked at completed sold and current ebay Perko Lamps and did not see one like this. Heavy duty glass-globe cage. Working hinge no issues that I can see. No dings-dents or holes.no holes in oil reservour. I think it will light and hold oil. More then likely it will need a new wick. Measures 12" X 6" at the base.

I hope you know more about this piece than me. As all my research pretty much came up empty. I bought this at an estate sale because it looks so interesting. I was told it was from a ship, then told it was from making movies? Both are probably wrong. It is heavy, has a circle opening at the bottom to be mounted to something. I've done some research& haven't found a lantern exactly like this one. WM Porter& Sons usually made brass railroad lanterns. But this appears to have a nautical look/ style. Here is a BEAUTY of an old VINTAGE/ANTIQUE PERKO ship/ boat running light. This is an ORIGINAL BRONZE or Brass not sure very heavy 6 pounds. This is a HUGE 10 inch long x 5 1/2 wide x 5 inch tall ORIGINAL PERKO. This has a clear glass and the GLASS is in MINT CONDITION Has a really nice PURPLE TINT TO THE GLASS FROM YEARS OUT ON THE WATER. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The Bronze has a few chrome specs remaining in a couple of spots and a couple of faint very minor spots-scratches. There is a mark on the rim photo 6 and there are a couple of foundry pour marked when it was made photo 7. Has polished up very nice. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER OF A PIECE from a time gone by. I am not sure if this might have been a STERN LIGHT. There is NO light in the housing but the socket is there as well as the circular marked PERKO light plug ... morephoto 12 reads PERKO. Antique PERKO Perkins Marine Lamp Boat Ship Lantern Hanging Light Red Lens
This is a great Perkins"PERKO" Marine lantern or bow light. The lantern is about 18" tall counting the handle. The lens is heavy red glass and can be seen from all sides(360 degrees) The lantern works off of oil or kerosene. The reservoir and wick are in tack and working. The Perkins metal tag is still in place(too dark to get into photo) There are some small nicks and I can see what looks like brass under the black paint. I believe the paint is original to the lantern. The lantern is heavy. Over 7 pounds. Lanterns like this were used on large ships as a warning light or bow light. We accept credit cards through PayPal. Here is a nice old ANTIQUE/VINTAGE N.M.L. BRONZE/BRASS"NAVIGATION LIGHT" Vintage Bronze/Brass" ROUND CAN STYLE Bow light" This has red and green GLASS with no cracks or chips. The front bracket missing a screw and the glass is in place with some type of caulking on the bracket. The metal brass/bronze has a nice bright polished shine. Very nice old Nautical light. Antique Nautical Overboard Safety Light Rare!
Rare Overboard Safety Light. Wood float with brass ends. One end has the light and the other end has a hook loop. This could be a military piece. But unsure without a name on it. Rare piece by having the original glass lens on the end with no damage. The float is 4 1/2 inches wide, the piece itself is 17 1/2 inches long. Great hard to find piece! Happy Bidding!

This one has the bronze metal under all that black paint. Lantern appears original. With clear Fresnel lens. Lens is intact but has some BB dings or chips or cracks. Marked in the bronze casting on the side is"A" under that) is U.S.L.H 6. With few if any very minor expected dents, no cracks that I see. HUGE ANTIQUE NAUTICAL SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN LIGHT MARITIME LAMP 25" TALL 18LBS
Up for auction is AN ORIGINAL VERY OLD vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. A 360o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point( the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. These oil burning lanterns were made to be lit and hoisted to the top of the mast with one rope tied ... moreto the handle and 2 ropes through the brass guides to keep it from swaying as the ship rolled with the sea. Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Bought from a local merchant for my son to play with 25 years ago. It worked then. takes a 1 1/2 volt dry cell with screw terminals. electric presto-log) Shell is made of some sort fine wood fiber with an"old shoe" sort of sweet smell. Maybe someone could tell me where it came from.
