Antique Boat Search Light, Half Mile Ray, Model 833, by The Portable Light Co.
This is a Half Mile Ray 12 volt Marine Cabin Roof Search/Spot light. Model 833 made by the Portable Light Company. This light is in beautiful condition for it's age and works. All parts are there including the big chrome knobs that are located on the bottom of the shaft inside the vessel cabin with which to swivel the light 360 degrees and to raise and lower the beam angle. It was removed from a fresh water yacht, The chrome has minor pitting and wear as is to be expected with this age, no dents or damage. The chrome is peeling from the bronze base casting. The gears to raise and lower the light are in excellent shape and nothing is missing. I will carefully pack this light and ship to you via USPS economy shipping. Antique HAJ HELVIG Maritime Kerosene Oil Hanging Ships Lantern Warning Light
Antique ships hanging lantern from the days of the grand sailing ships. This metal steel or iron(its magnetic) lantern was produced by H.A.G. Helvig MANUFACTURERS NEW YORK as shown on the tag on bottom front. Features a 2 sided lantern with a rounded front. There is a red circular glass shield in front of the kerosene or oil lantern wick. Back door has a slide into the hole to lock in place. Lantern can be hung by the top of slid onto a post on the backside slot. This is a riveted and welded piece with no screws as would be in a modern style lantern. SOLID with NO rust outs of holes. Red color is used in navigation to designate the port(left) side of a vessel. Removeable DIETZ CONVEX oil lantern from NEW YORK. Top removes easily to refill and change the wick.

The diameter measures 3/8 inches. The diameter of the glass ball lens measures 1 1/2 inches. The glass has no cracks or chips. There is a bulb inside that has not been tested. I have not taken it a part. The original cloth cover wire extends from the bottom. There is no damage to the brass pole. I do not know exactly what this came off. It has been converted with a cord so you can use it for display. It is made by Norwood Noonan Co. out of Chicago. IL has L7 on the back and L2 underneath the globe measures approx 13" tall. 7" base& 8 1/4" across the backside does have a couple on small chips on the front as shown. the right side bolt is sheared off near the top. This is a great antique nautical find This is a ships table lamp light. Keyhole on bottom attaches it to table or wall to hold secure and yet can be removed. Comes with an extra long cord with a toggle switch for turning on and off. Older cord may want to update if using or leave original cord for collecting. It has a blackish finish on the base and on the shade might just be aged patina doesn't appear to be paint. It has a gold scfroll design on both the base and shade. This is a HUGE antique ship navigation light. I have never seen one this large. It weighs over 17 lbs and measures 24"including the handle. The bottom plate is missing. The globe is red and is stamped and made by Perko so I think just the glass was made by them. Im not sure if this has the original wiring or if it was rewired for personal use there is a light bulb inside that hangs from the top. The bulb and wires can be easily removed.

There are a couple small chips in the glass. The glass globe is upside down. There is a screw missing off the back. There is no lamp shade. The lamp shade holder is loose. Antique Marine Navigators Lantern Brass Signal Lamp w original Candle Boat Light
Antique Maritime Boat Navigators Lantern! It is Marked Navigators Lantern but it is so covered in old paint you can only make out the L. See pics. Somewhat rare piece. Brass with Original glass and original candle, see pics. Stands about 8 1/2" tall not including handle/hanger. It's been painted black over what looks like it's original green. Most of these I've seen have a back piece with two metal"handles" So either this one came without them and with this hanger or the handles were removed and the hanger added later. However I don't see any removal holes anywhere on the back but I do see possible old weld marks covered up with old paint. There is a metal peg missing on the front that slides the inner door around to block the light. The door does slide. It has both the inner brass slide door and blackened metal ... moresheathe. Hard to show in pics. Paint is severely flaked. It is in it's original condition as is the candle see pics. Glass is not chipped nor cracked but dingy, needs cleaned and has a cool air bubble in it but you can only see it when it's opened and I didn't get a picture. Very solid hinges are tight and fine. One small dent near globe on it's right if facing it. Hard to see but I got the best pic I could of it. Clasp is strong and door shuts tightly. Nothing wiggles or moves around. You could actually use this right now. All in original condition. The only thing I'm not definite on is it's age. It could be back as far as the Civil War era or just late 1800's. It is believed to have been used as a Railroad signal lantern. conductor's lamp on a train here in the Southwest but I have no evidence to prove that. antique boat light Chris Craft Century Hacker Lyman
This spotlight. Is from a 40's or so boat. I saw one on an old Chris Craft. It's complete with wires and bulb, appears to be brass coated or however they did them. The glass has no cracks, there are no dents, just the separation at the base of the cable as seen in the one pic. This is an excellent example of an antique boat spotlight that is a rare item. The wood base is not a part of the unit, just used for display.
