We have not been able to find another one like it. They are usually flat on the back. Ours is V shaped that fits in a corner with bracket pocket on the left. Its red fresnel glass lens was made by Perko with Mold No.35 on its side. Glass is in good condition with about 3 tiny. Tiny chips on the ribs of the glass that are hardly noticeable. Also has a few tiny paint specks, age& dirt. No cracks though. The lantern has been painted red sometime in its life that’s faded, chipping. It comes with a chain& Original brass Miller Co. burner& hurricane glass that’s attached to bottom cover. The hurricane is in good condition with some tiny chipping along the bottom rim that goes into the burner. Also is soiled. The lantern’s body is in good-fair condition except looks like something heavy was put on its top& it caved in a little to the right. But does not affect the structural integrity, it just adds character! The top still opens fine. This would make a unique& super conversation piece. If only it could talk! Large Vintage Mohawk Dressel New York Canal Channel Bridge Lamp Light Lantern
There are many images so be sure to scroll down to view them of this vintage Dressel Railroad Railway lamp& signal Co. rare Erie Canal Channel Bridge Lamp marked Mohawk. This kerosene lamp stands 23" tall to the top of the handle. The top is 5 1/8" in diameter and top is marked Arlington Dressel NJ USA. Around the top are words Mohawk Lamp New York State Canals. The lamp has been painted red at some point. I think it was originally silver. The lens is a clear fresnal 7 3/4" diameter and it does have some chips in the glass. This type of lens is used to focus beams for a long distance. The base tank is 11 1/2" in diameter x 3" deep and the wick is in it and goes up and down. The weight unpacked is 23 pounds. Very heavy. One vintage ship lantern. It does not have its tank and wick for lighting. This lantern measures 19 1/2" tall. With the hanging arm extended up it is 23"and 9" in diameter. The prism glass is not cracked. The copper exterior has been coated at some point to prevent it from darkening I believe. This is a family estate item purchased as I remember in the early 1980's, in Europe. Very hard to find now.

Here is something you don't see every day! For sale is a great old copper& brass lantern made by R.C. Murry& Co. Limited of Glasgow. England. It has all 3 of it's brass plaques, stating it's a Port lantern, who it's made by, and the patent numbers. The plaques have a beautiful flourish to them! It is identified as a Lamp-ads 924. The last photo shows you just how big this lantern really is, and it's BIG! It stands 25" with the handle up. 22" with it down, 15" across, and 14" deep. It was made for a Class 4 vessel, over 65' and weighs 18.5 lbs. It has a good Sherwood Burner, with both wheels working freely. The entire lantern is made up of copper. With the exception of the brass handle, plaques, flat back hanging bracket, and top lid. It has it's burner and reflector, both in good working ... morecondition. There are two small chips to the fresnel, both of which do not mar it's looks nor do anything to stop it's function. They are both exterior chips. The copper housing has one small ding at the bottom of the right hand corner of the fresnel. It is likely from the early 1930's. We acquired it along with a second lantern we were after at the time. It came from a Honolulu estate of an avid maritime collector. His main focus were for items from the RMS Queen Mary and the SS Normandie. His children said this lantern came from the Normandie. But they had no proof of that. However we did get a Letter of Provenance stating what I've said. don't know what that's worth though. Here is a vintage/antique? ANKERLIGHT copper nautical lantern. This is electric and it does work. The rubber seals inside have long since rotted away. Some of the copper is turning green. I imagine when this was new it was bright and shiny copper. The glass is in good condition. The lantern is approx. 15" tall. The bottom is 2 halves of plexiglass. Antique/Vtg Meteorite 3M Lamp/Lantern/Light Nautical Maritime Marine Ship Good vintage condition. Has been painted black. Original glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks. Top is missing lid/cover. No burner. Someone drilled a small hole in the bottom/back and also cut and bent a small section inside at the bottom in an effort to convert to electricity(see last 2 pics) 19.5" tall not including handles. VINTAGE SOLID BRASS "ANCHOR" ELECTRIFIED SHIP'S LANTERN
This item is a marvelous solid brass/copper studs/glass lens"ANCHOR" electrified ships lantern. It is a heavyweight.Well detailed, and realistic replica of an antique anchor light typical of those used on 19th century wooden sailing ships. It measures 14 inches high by 7 inches in diameter. Lamp appears to have professionally wired, and is equipped with a porcelain bulb socket for illumination as a table/wall light. Piece is in the nice original condition in which it was found in the attic of a local estate showing a nice original patina, and would prove to compliment any nautical/coastal cottage décor. There is a dent, as shown in photo which does not detract from the piece.Please note the Buyer pays all shipping costs, Insurance will be included.

This is a small vintage clear Fresnel lens for a marine lantern. It is part of a small lot of lenses I bought in three different sizes and I think all are marked C. B. Co. Or C. B. Ltd. They are all of very good quality. The lens is 3&1/2" high, 4&1/2" wide measured from the mid-point of the lens, and the glass is 1/4" thick, top and bottom- wider in the center. Condition is as found and as shown. Please look at all photos to form your own opinion of quality and condition. There are a few chips but overall I would say this is very good for age. These are really hard to find- those I have may have been from the manufacturer's inventory. I have a few others in this size if you need more. US ship only.
