FINE ANTIQUE PERKO SHIPS LANTERN
This is a really nice early ships lantern that is complete with burner and reflector. Etc. Lantern was made by Perko of Brooklyn, New York. The piece is solid with no rust. Galvanized steel and bras is intact. There is one very small chip in the glass that is extremely minor and not real noticeable(see photo) Lantern is approximately 10" tall or 12" if you count the ring. Antique SHIP'S OIL LANTERN by Sherwood LTD, Birmingham - ALL ORIGINAL, WORKING
This BEAUTIFUL. Antique, ALL- BRASS SHIP'S LANTERN was designed and built by Sherwood. Ltd. of Birmingham, England. Though it is very old, it is ALL here. All parts are in working order. There are NO dents anywhere, all the glass is in perfect condition, all hinges and snap closures are in good working order. The only very slight condition issue that I can find is that the wick mechanism is tight and hard to turn, but it does turn. All the solders are in perfect condition- no broken solders. This is just a GREAT example of a top-quality antique ship's light. The mounting bracket on the back is heavy and perfect. There is a little loss of black paint on the wooden handle which could easily be touched up. If you wish. The wooden handle is in great shape with no cracks. All of the rivets are copper. This lantern has been used, but over-all ... moreit is in nearly new condition. Please zoom all the photos to see all the parts and their condition. There is a little mild water spotting on the back, but it is very slight, otherwise the finish is just about PERFECT! This is a wonderful, classic and authentic marine lantern in wonderful condition. Nautical style. Antique, brass sconces. These pieces are used and need to be rewired. Rewiring is simple and should take no longer that 10 minutes. One sconce is missing the threaded rod mounting hardware but one can be found at your local hardware store. The finish is fair and could be cleaned up easily with Brasso or left with its natural patina. The glass globes are in good shape and don't need replacing. This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. I am selling a unique working vintage brass nautical passage light with red glass. It measures 15" from the top of the brass hook to the bottom brass hook and 4 1/2" wide. It has a 15 ft cord and slightly shorter chain. The chain links are separated near the top- see photo and wrapped around the cord near the bottom- could be reattached with pliers. OLD Antique PORT SIDE Red Marine Nautical Maritime Lantern Lamp Inside bulb auth
This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. Huge Antique USLHS US Lighthouse Service Triangular Corner Gas Lamp Lantern
For your consideration is this original antique early 1900s USLHS lantern or light! Please continue to read for further details. And check out all the pictures of the item you are bidding on. Please save me as a seller or bookmark my auctions. As I will be listing in the next few weeks an amazing collection of historic items, paperwork, advertising and some toys as well. This auction is for a large corner or triangular gas lantern or light. It has the USLHS mark on one side. For the United States Lighthouse Service. The very top is also stamped LP, unsure if this is for the fuel or where it was located. This huge lantern has many great features but also needs TLC as well, so please look at all the photos, read my detailed description, and ask any questions prior to placing a bid! The lantern measures a large 22" tall without the handle ... moreand 29" tall with the handle. It is triangular in shape. With each panel measuring about 14" wide. Originally there would have been two glass panels with wire cage frames. One is missing and there is only a few parts as shown in the last photo. The other side has been soldered shut but appears complete with the frame and the glass. The side that is open is the side that has the USLHS mark right above. The original swinging bracket is still present, has lots of solder but still is there. Inside the lantern are three vents and two fittings for what I presume would be the gas. One fitting is starting to come off as the solder is letting go. Inside is very dusty and dirty. And you can see the solder throughout the base. Does appear to be strong and not broken as far as the base goes. The back has a unique brass or possibly copper brace and square tubing to vent the gas to the top. It has heavy wear and solder from many years of use. Really has great patina. There does appear to be split in the middle of the tubing, small but there. The wire bail handle is nice and strong. And the top vent that is stamped LP is also nice and strong with no rust or severe wear. The very bo

Vintage Chelsea Maritime Brass Lantern
This is a vintage Chelsea Maritime brass lantern. It has a brass slide out oil tank and has never been burned, There seems to be a piece of the burner missing but pretty sure that can be replace. It is 4 side glass walls with brass bars covering the glass. It stands 15" tall and each side is 7" wide. All the glass is in prefect condition. It has a wood handle and it too is in excellent condition. There is a place on back for hanging. A brass label on front saying Chelsea LTD Maritime. I think this lantern would be considered in excellent condition. My husband did replace a couple screws. This was an estate find. Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. Beautiful antique ship's lantern- Not a reproduction Made by Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Co. New York. The manufacturer is stamped into the side of the lantern. Markings on the top say"Port Classes II& III" This is a triangular shaped lantern and has a hinged door. Vented top, and a handle for carrying. The lens is thick and'ridged' and is red in color. I do not see any chips or cracks and it seems to be plastered into place on the inside. There is no burner in the lantern but I see two slanted brackets on the bottom that probably held a base of some kind. There appears to be some wax in the bottom- not much. But someone had a candle in there at one tim-Measures about 10" tall(not including the handle) and is about 7 1/4" wide from corner to corner.
