This is ... morea rare. Brass oil lantern manufactured in the early 1900's for use in finer staterooms. It is an absolutely beautiful antique in great condition. There are two small cracks(you can see them in the last two pictures) around the base of the lantern. Most likely caused by age. Also I had a hard time screwing together the lantern and the piece that connects to the wall. I think it could be easily replaced with another bolt. And it might even go together if it is forced. I was trying to be careful when I was putting it together. See the third to last picture to know the piece I am talking about. This lamp was manufactured by C. Gray Ship Chandlers Established 1882 Arbroyath. Scotland. You can see that information on the brass nameplate(see picture above) This lamp used to belong to my aunt’s great uncle and he bought it many many years ago in San Francisco. The lamp is very heavy! The burners are original with a double wick. The knobs are stamped"Duplex Made in England" It appears to be original and in working condition. The wick knobs turn. I have not attempted to put fuel in the lamp or light it. Because I do not know how and I do not want to mess it up! The lamps have not been polished because I wanted to keep it in its current condition and I liked the way they look! The clear glass chimney is in perfect condition. As you can see in the picture the green shade does not fit around the holder(it fits there just fine. But it does not go to the edge of the metal rim) so I do not know if it is just made that way or this is not the original shade. Either way it looks beautiful. I just want to make sure you can see that in the picture and you are given the best description possible! Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. There is some slight age greening to the copper& one small dent on the back of the frame. Next to the window. It measures 14.5" tall excluding the handle& 18.5" tall including the handle by 9" wide, including the brass hanging brackets by 6" wide. This is a really unique Antique Neptune Kerosene oil lamp. Is little different from the ones I have searched& It seems to be in very good condition for it's age. The ship lantern stands at a tall 15" without the handle and is 8" wide. The oil glass pot comes out from the top by unhinging the front side then the lantern and flipping the top backwards. With a hook and a latch with a chain for closer. The glass brass oil lantern stands at 4" tall without glass lamp. Seems to be heavy about 6 to 7 pounds. Made out of brass with copper rivets. Has a handle. Also four glass panels. It has a new wick. Not sure if the wick is original it does appear unused. Vintage Port Classes II& III Brass Ship's Lantern With Red Lens. Marked"Universal Metal Spinning& Stamping Co. New York" on the back and"Port Classes II& III" on the top front. Measures 14" to top of handle. Measures 10 1/2" to top of lamp. Not counting the handle, and is 7" in diameter. It has it's original red glass lens with 2 chips. Lantern has been electrified and has a cord with a switch on it, but the end has been cut off, so it will need to be rewired with a plug. This is a very thick brass nautical light made by Perko. The red glass is original& also very thick. It was rewired for household current& works. The wire is very short& bared at the end& has a cut in it. So it probably should be replaced. It stands 9 1/2" tall. It has two open threaded fittings(one on bottom& one on back) It also has a smaller hole that the new wiring was ran through. I'm not sure if it was on a ship or maybe even a bridge. It is heavy duty, I put it on a bathroom scale& it registered 10 pounds. The glass is still in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It was found in an old estate in northern Michigan right on Lake Huron, so it probably has some history. Unfortunately I do not know the history of it. This stunning old lantern belonged to my parents. And has been in my family for as long as I can remember. I do not know the exact age or the original function. The high level of craftsmanship in this lantern is amazing. It appears to be of solid brass with a wooden handle attached at the top. The only place that a magnet will stick to the metal is on the fitting that holds the wick. There are two rectangular glass windows. The hinged door is opened by pulling up on a slide loop. There are two round silver metal reflectors on the inside walls of the lantern. The footed base has a bolt and nut for attaching the lantern to a surface. The Round knob that adjusts the wick is marked Dressel and the number 0. I believe that this stands for the Dressel Lamp Works of Arlington New Jersey. Found this at a local estate. Lantern stands approx 10 1/2" tall. All parts are orginal to the lantern. All orginal lenses with no cracks which are red. Blue and clear. One lense and cover opens so you can light it. Wick adjustment moves up and down but moves down better than up which needs a little help. Nice old patina and should polish up nicely if desired. No dents except on the burner base side and the very bottom as you can see in the pictures it is in good condition. Screw on the mounting bracket screws in and out and can be mounted on a flat bar or round post. Handle is solid with no problems. I don't know much about these lanterns but found out on the net that they are hard to find and this one is in really nice condition. About the only thing that I see wrong is the spring on the little lever that is pat'd is broken ... moreand doesn't automatically spring closed nothing major but thought I would mention it. The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. The makers mark was probably on the bottom of the burner that is no longer with the lantern. A couple of the solder joints for the cage across the glass are no longer in place. Ma. they were in business in the mid 1800's the frame is in good overall condition and has the original burner assembly which is good condition. as stated above I do not have the glass for it. ok here today we have 2 early electric large heavy brass ships lanterns. please I am not an expert on maritime so if i make any errors let me know. these stand 14 inches to the top of the handle and almost 11 inches when the handle is down. the diameter of the base is 7 1/4 and the height of the actual glass globe inside is 5 3/4 inches and the diameter of the globe is 4 inches the op cap is held on with 4 thumb screws most of which are good. a couple have some thread loss and do not grip well. one lantern has an additional screw on piece on the top of the cap to accept the electric line. the bottom has a hinged cover with glass insert. unknown if it is original. each lantern has a small hinge on the bottom so you can open and close the hatch to change bulbs. one hinge is missing 1 screw.the othe issue is the handle is broken off on 1 lantern ... morebut i do have it and it can be welded back on. please look at the photos and ask me questions.if you need a specific photo of any part let me know. I did show photos of the broken off handle the mechanism still functions just need to reattach the handle. the shade is 2 part mold glass clear and free of any damage.there are no markings that would help me identify the manufacturer or ship. they will be shipped separately and the total shipping is 45 dollars' No international sales, I go to great lengths to call all issues even some that really are not,so that we are all on the same page when looking at these lanterns

My friend is finally clearing out her sheds in an effort to downsize. Her in-laws. Now passed, were prominent figures in the folk-art world, and her family has traveled extensively, so she has many years and two households of fine objets d’art to go through. I selected some of the better pieces to offer the eBay community. Her home and mine are smoke-free, and mine is pet-free too. This is a big nautical oil lantern. Made of copper to resist salt water corrosion. ... moreAll original parts. It was in the cellar of a home that flooded during Hurricane Irene here in Vermont, and is full of silt. I rinsed off the outside just enough to show what it is, but am not qualified to clean it thoroughly. The door slides down within guides. And you can see the loop and tab that secure it. It has a large reservoir, glass chimney, and the domed top opens smoothly. The label is soldered on, and has worn enough that I cannot quite make out the image– two horses, a standing figure with reins, maybe flanked by two seated figures, on a carriage indicated by a curving line– no wheels. When this is shined up it will be spectacular. The“buy it now” is low because it needs cleaning. But this is a showpiece.

Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Up for auction is a an antique maritime fixed globe kerosene lantern. This is an old maritime ship's lantern. Sometimes known as an anchor lantern or a riding light. It is approximately 13" tall and the globe has a 8" diameter. According to an expert's research. This was most certainly made by" Perko" the Perkins Lamp Company. Brooklyn, NY. It likely dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The glass bulb looks like it may be a later replacement as it doesn't have the original"Perko" embossed onto the bulb. There is some minor evidence of resoldering, likely when the bulb was replaced. The bulb is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. Antique TRIPLEX Nautical Maritime Ships Lantern Lamp Body pat 1910
This antique lamp is made of stamped steel with a brass cap on top and it measures 8" high x 4 1/8" wide. It's missing the ring on top plus the oil lamp insert burner and there are no chips or cracks to the glass lens.

D.H.R. HOLLAND NAUTICAL OIL LAMP WITH CHIMNEY AND WICK~BRASS SHIPS CABIN LANTERN
Here is a D.H.R. Dean Haan of Rotterdam. The lantern is brass. Not polished, has patina. On the bottom is the makers mark, Made in Holland. On either side it is embossed with a windmill. The lantern stands about 11" and 5 1/4" wide. On the back is a key hole notch for hanging. The wick is still intact and the turn knob works. The glass chimney is about 10 1/4" tall and the base is 2" wide. On the chimney is written cristal Prima. There are some spots of tarnish and a small scuff in the front. Otherwise, in good condition. This is a Wedge"vintage" Lantern. I do not know how vintage it is. But I think it is pre 1978. It does not appear to ever have been used. The brass could use cleaning(tape marks and tarnish) It comes with a bracket for hanging. It measures about 13" high, including the hanger. There is no oil tank or burner but it was electrified at some point, and a chain and canopy could easily be added by the buyer if desired. The lantern has several dents, scratches, paint chips and drips but is very sound and solid. The lens is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Brass Lantern Maritime/Railroad Clock
Brass Lantern style Clock. With Thermometer, Barometer, and on the top a Compass, it has plastic lens covers and takes a batterie in the clock only, its approx 11" tall and around 5" in diameter,it weights 4lbs. 2 1/4 oz so its pretty heavy, I think it can sit on a table or be hung up by the brass ring on top.Its a really beatifull clock. On The Clock batterie compartment is the name WellTime Clock, so I beleive that most likely is the name.

Vintage Bronze Tung Woo Hong Kong EK1390 PORT Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical
Vintage Tung Woo PORT Lantern I recovered this Tung Woo port-side lantern from a sunken pipe barge while working off the coast of Borneo in the South China Sea in 1971. From it’s configuration it appears to have always been an electric lantern. I used it with a small battery light for a little evening ambiance on the deck table. So no heat damage from using it with candles. From the number of mounting holes(see last photo) it had a long service use history before I salvaged it. My guess is early post WWII. It has a heavy clear glass lens with an internal removable curved glass red filter. It’s got dents. Dimples and a wonky corner, decades of stains from living outside but no gouges or deep scratches. 14" Vintage BRASS MASTHEAD Ship's LANTERN Boat NAUTICAL Decor PIRATE Lamp
A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. And lantern is functional. The base unscrews to take a CANDLE- either one with a wide base, or a taper inserted into your own socket(no disrespect intended) OR. You could wire/electrify it rather easily. Lantern is in GOOD CONDITION. Nothing broken or missing. The drip rim of the base candle-holder area is bent.
