This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

Nice vintage patina on this Perkins marine ships lamp. Great decorative piece for your nautical themed home. Would make Interesting repurpose project Measures approx 16" Note dents on pictures(does not distract from piece) Interesting History from website: The story starts with Frederick Persky. Who later became known as Frederick Perkins. He was a Russian immigrant who was schooled in Germany as a machinist and tool-and-die maker. Frederick came to the United States in the early 1890's and soon became employed as a machinist for E.W. Bliss& Company in Brooklyn, New York. In the early 1900's, he and a partner began operating a business, F. Persky& Company, Lantern Manufacturer, out of the basement of his house. In 1907. Frederick's son Louis joined him in the business, and together they enlarged both the product line ... moreand the manufacturing facilities. By 1912, they had seventeen employees and made a wide range of marine lanterns and products. The business continued operating until 1913 when Frederick became president of National Marine Lamp Company. Based out of Forestville, Connecticut. Frederick and Louis left that company in 1916 and moved back to Brooklyn, New York, where they started Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. Five generations later, PERKO is still a privately owned, family operated corporation, which is unusual in today's marketplace.

Unfortunately he gave up on the project. You can see by the pictures that the paint has been cleaned off of one of the lamps. Very cool and Large lanterns. Up for your consideration is this vintage World War II era Mark five deep diving electric breast lamp. These electric lamps are rarely seen for sale on the market. Please deep sea diving electric breast lamps were used for underwater salvage and recovery or working on ships and submarines. The electric breast lamp has special lenses and is regularly furnished with 16 candlepower incandescent light. It could be furnished for use with hand dynamo out fit or can be used by connecting with any central station current. This lamp is ordinarily slipped into socket and fastened to the mark five deep-sea diving helmet. Brooklyn N.Y. U.S.A. The red and green fresnel lenses are in excellent conditions with some great bubbles from when the glass was formed. They are made of galvanized sheet metal with brass or copper tops and openings on the bottom. The galvanized metal is very solid with very little areas of surface rust. nothing major. These are original vintage Lamps dating from somewhere between the 1930's to the 60's based on their websites timeline. Actual manufacture date is unknown. The lamps are 18" tall. 22" tall with the handle extended, 10" wide and 18" across the front. I purchased ... morethese lamps 28 years ago with the intention of wiring them. They've been carefully stored indoors waiting for the project to begin. I never got around to wiring them. It's time to pass them along to a new owner. Bulbs and wiring or burners are not included. Vintage Ships Binnacle Compass Oil Lamp Converted to Electric Nautical Maritime
This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. Antique Brass Ship's Oil Lantern. Looks like it was never used. Very nice condition; only one small dent in the wick assembly. And that can probably be pushed back from behind the guard very easily. There is no maker's mark or logo on the lamp. But there is an"RV" and an anchor on the wick turn knob. The glass chimney appears to be original to the lamp. Dimensions: 12 7/8" overall. 5 3/4" from back of mounting plate for the gimbal to the outside of the lamp. Chimney measures 6 7/8" in height and is 3 1/4" in diameter, the lamp body measures 7 1/2" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/4" total width including the gimbal mounting pins that project 3/8" from either side of the lamp body. This auction is for a vintage large sexton nautical brass and wood table lamp light with rope shade. It measures approx. 37" to the top and the oak wooden crate box measures approx. 8" x 8" x 10" in size. The widest part of the lamp rope shade is approx. 18 1/2" across. This item is in used condition. The lamp is good with only minimal wear. The shade isn't in pristine condition. The inner plastic liner has a few cracks that you don't see unless you look down into the shade. Also around the top of the wire ring it looks like the adhesive or tape has worn off over the years. It is 28" tall to the top, the base is about 15" tall. It was bought at an antique shop, but I think it is Vintage. It has a sticker at the bottom that says Shady Lady.

VINTAGE ANTIQUE SHIPS LANTERN LARGE NAUTICAL LAMP with SHADE
Estate Find. This very large maritime lantern converted to a lamp. In full working order. Use light in lantern or light on top or both. Not sure of the metal. This lantern is mounted on a solid wood base and comes with original paper shade that is covered with a nautical collage theme. Think it was wall paper glued to shade. Does need some regluing. Shade is 15" x 15"Lantern has clear glass encased in thick metal wire. Has on off switch on top. Lantern is approx. 16" with base not including dowel that holds light bulb and shade. There are a couple of dents on top of lantern. Very old piece with a lot of character and who can imagine the history. Check out photos Light Bulb not included.

Bulb not included) over all: 4 1/2" wide. 7" tall glass: 3 5/8" wide. 4" tall inline switch on 8 foot electric cord Glass is marked"GB inc" 9-S-4072-L-30" Condition Description This offering is for a vintage nautical light recently wired with a brand new socket. Lamp is easy to take apart. Easy to install bulb. Glass was recently cleaned with dish soap and water although there is still some sticker like residue on it in a few areas. When lit the glass glows red but when off the glass has a darkish tint almost purple in color which hints to very old glass. Glass globe is ... morenot perfect but there are no fractures or major cracks; glass does have a few chips, largest one is pictured and there are two other minor ones plus some small nicks, scratches and marks along with heavy oxidation which is causing the purple tint. Plastic grommet was install on the top with a few layers of electrical tape around it to help keep it snug in the brass although I would not recommend hanging the light from the cord alone. Mthe base measures 16.5 tall with the harp 25 inches at the top. It Works too. the cord is good the harp is included. Just find the right shade to your taste. Very cool listed under what other have sold for. The lever works backs and forth. It is used and is around 50 years old so it does show some wear. But I think it adds to the vintage look of it. Rare Vintage Copper/Brass 3-Stage Table Lamp - Nautical Lantern Style Light
This piece was purchased at an estate sale of a collector. I don't know much about it except that it is vintage from the 1960s-70s. The condition is excellent for its age. With the only noticable wear being on the base. Needs a new bottom glued back on. Can put any color c7 bulb in the bottom portion. See photos for details. The lamp has three possible settings, 1-just the top, 2-just bottom part is lit, 3-both top and bottom are lit. The height of the entire lamp is 22 without lightbulb.
