2 Reclaimed Original Brass Nautical Passageway Lights With Deflector Covers C1
Google the name"big ship salvage" and you will learn more about who we are! You are bidding on the two reclaimed brass nautical lights shown in the above photos. We started out with a common original cast ship's brass passageway light and transformed it into this outstanding ceiling light. The first step was to soda blast several layers of paid from the original light. We then added the 8 inch wide stamped brass deflector cover with rolled edges. The original side entry conduit holes on the top housing were plugged with a threaded brass caps and a new exit hole for the wiring was drilled in the center of the top housing. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring that was supplied by Westinghouse Electric. All of the new electrical parts are UL-Listed. And rated for any power source under 250 volts. The bulb holder takes ... morea normal screw in house bulb. We recommend using a bulb size of 60 watts or less in this light design. The new wiring exits the top of the light so all the wiring will be hidden once the light is mounted to the ceiling. The light has two mount legs with the two mount holes measuring 3 1/2 inches on center of each other. To access the bulb, the brass cage and glass globe spin on and off as one piece. The glass is undamaged. When mounted to the ceiling, this light will extend down about 6 1/2 inches. Each light weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. PAIR BRASS HANGING SHIPS LANTERN LIGHT LAMP EARLY ELECTRIC BIG AND HEAVY BOAT
ok here today we have 2 early electric large heavy brass ships lanterns. please I am not an expert on maritime so if i make any errors let me know. these stand 14 inches to the top of the handle and almost 11 inches when the handle is down. the diameter of the base is 7 1/4 and the height of the actual glass globe inside is 5 3/4 inches and the diameter of the globe is 4 inches the op cap is held on with 4 thumb screws most of which are good. a couple have some thread loss and do not grip well. one lantern has an additional screw on piece on the top of the cap to accept the electric line. the bottom has a hinged cover with glass insert. unknown if it is original. each lantern has a small hinge on the bottom so you can open and close the hatch to change bulbs. one hinge is missing 1 screw.the othe issue is the handle is broken off on 1 lantern ... morebut i do have it and it can be welded back on. please look at the photos and ask me questions.if you need a specific photo of any part let me know. I did show photos of the broken off handle the mechanism still functions just need to reattach the handle. the shade is 2 part mold glass clear and free of any damage.there are no markings that would help me identify the manufacturer or ship. they will be shipped separately and the total shipping is 45 dollars' No international sales, I go to great lengths to call all issues even some that really are not,so that we are all on the same page when looking at these lanterns

This rare pre world War I Dietz Vesta US Navy standard Deck Lantern is made of brass and has the original clear glass globe(marked“Dietz Vesta New York USA” It has a top and bottom lips with very minor chips on the top lip. This lantern is all original and complete with a wick(cannot tell if original but is used) The frame is all brass with a very old fully used patina. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Brass Lantern Maritime/Railroad Clock
Brass Lantern style Clock. With Thermometer, Barometer, and on the top a Compass, it has plastic lens covers and takes a batterie in the clock only, its approx 11" tall and around 5" in diameter,it weights 4lbs. 2 1/4 oz so its pretty heavy, I think it can sit on a table or be hung up by the brass ring on top.Its a really beatifull clock. On The Clock batterie compartment is the name WellTime Clock, so I beleive that most likely is the name.

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. For bid is a vintage pair of brass kerosene wall mount lamps. They are made to turn so they stay level if they are mounted in a boat/ship. One is slightly larger then the the other and 1 is marked"Perko" The one marked Perko measures a little under 6 in. tall with a mounting plate that is 2 3/4 in. across. The other piece is 5 1/2 in. tall and the plate is a little under 2 1/2 in. across. The one that isn't marked Perko does have the words"English Made" on the wick turning screw. The Perko one has a wick and the other one doesn't. They are both done in heavy brass and have a nice patina. There was a sticker at some point and when it was removed. It left a shiny brass area but it should eventually turn darker once it's exposed to air. The Perko one is also missing a few prongs where the shade goes. There are ... morestill enough prongs to hold the shade. Nice pieces that would work great for the boat, garden room or a country room, you will just need shades which are pretty standard. A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. And lantern is functional. The base unscrews to take a CANDLE- either one with a wide base, or a taper inserted into your own socket(no disrespect intended) OR. Here for your nautical pleasure is a nifty gambel ships oil lamp. Two sided. Very heavy bottom to ensure plumb. It is made by(and marked) The lamp measures 11" tall w/o the chimney and 18" high w/ chimney. Approximately 3/5" diameter at the brass top and 3" on the brass bottom. As you can see. It is in fine working condition, but as with all vintage items, it is imperfect. I cannot speak as to its age: the 1842 in the name is probably the founding date of the company. This is a GE Novalux copper brass marine spot light. It has survived a attack by a squadron of red rider packing boy scouts and has multiple bb gun shots to the body and 3 in the lens. It has been rewired with a 110 heavy duty 3 prong cord. It has a sylvania 1000 watt bulb in it that works. The front glass is 15 1/2 inches across. It is approximately 27 inches tall on the stand and approximately 20 inches deep. It is hard to measure due to its shape. All the pieces are there that I can tell. It is a very cool piece of history. This is a brass spot light off of a 1923 Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who removed it from a 1923 Gillnet boat. Up for auction is a pair of 2 antique Maritime passageway heavy brass/bronze ship lights with cobalt blue glass globes with sliding doors and a handle for hanging. There are doors that slide on the lamp to open and close the cobalt blue glass globe. The base is all heavy brass/bronze and has a threaded top with moveable handle. On the top of the lamp it has a threaded fitting marked. 9-S-5010-L Type XXII Size B. The threaded top of the light has 9-S-2108-L. There is a gasket with washer and light socket inside, so changing the bulb is very easy. The cobalt blue globe is very heavy, please check pictures and measures 4 ½” diameter x 5” long with rounded bottom. On the rim of the cobalt blue globe it has Type H 2034 L P.G. Co. There are no chips or cracks on the globe. Underneath on the top ring it has 2099-L-3 and on the bottom section ... moreis 2099-L-4. The heavy base contains the sliding door to open and close. The bottom panel also opens and closes. With handle up the lamp stands 11 ¼” tall and the base is 5 ½” diameter. Both lamps have the same numbers and are identical. Antique Brass Kerosene Running Lights
Made by Wilcox Crittenden and I took them off a 1947 44 foot wooden motor-sailer named the Seahawk that was built by Fred Smith in Sewaren. NJ. I believe them to be older. Even though they are brass the bottoms are pretty corroded(see pic) and they do not have the burners. These lamps have a wonderful patina and would make beautiful decorative pieces for your nautical collection or an awesome addition to any vintage boat. Dimensions are about 7.5 X 12.5. Vintage drop fount for bottom-loading oil lamp. All brass construction. Some tarnish and patina. However very clean inside and in overall very good condition. Does not appear to have ever been filled with oil. Fitted with Simplex burner which used a 3/4" flat wick(not included) Wick adjuster knob is marked E. Miller& Co, Made in U.S.A. Top of burner is slightly bent. No maker markings on fount itself. Threaded collar where burner screws in measures 1-1/4" diameter. Three spring clips along side of fount held burner in place inside of lamp. All three are securely attached. Small brass filler cap is in place. Bottom bell measures 6" in diameter. Top of fount measures 4" in diameter. Height of fount is(not including burner) is approximately 3-1/4" Height of portion that would fit inside the lamp is around 2-1/4" ... moreProbably used in a maritime rather than railroad lamp. However I am cross listing in the railroad lamp category as it could have been used in a navigation lamp on or about a railroad bridge. While this fount looks similar to the type used in Adlake Santa Fe and No. 63 railroad switch lamps. This is way too large and won't fit in those lamps. Brass Gimbal Lamp, Edison Socket, Bryant Switch Maritime/Train Table/Wall Light
This light measures about 7½" tall. And the base is 4" in diameter. The socket is marked Edison, and the switch Bryant. There is a small ½" hairline crack on the first ring of the base. I tried to photograph it. But it didn't show up in the photo. The loop that hung the lamp has been cut off to make it a table lamp. The cord is definitely not original or appropriate to the lamp. Perko De-lite Bow Light, brass maritime oil lamp
Weather-bronzed’ Perko De-lite Bow lantern. Oil-burning allbrass lamp with glass lens, 12.25” tall. This model was carried for quite along time by Perkins Marine, This particular lamp was made in the late 1930s(1934 and earlier models has two brass safety bars protecting the lens, whichwas removed from all models by 1939, per the Perko catalogs) Based on estimatesof the Perko stamp in back, it may have been made in the 1940s– 50s. The oil fount was drilled out and electrified. And promptlyrestored to oil burning capability once I acquired it over two years ago. Alsorepaired was lower brass band that holds the lens in place. It appears that an antique 5 pound Navy anchor has been transformed into a lamp by attaching a very well made brass adjustable hood shade embellished with an applied copper design of sailboats and then wired. The workmanship is of professional quality but certainly could have been“home made” The bottom of the anchor(base) is marked on the topside“5” and on the underside“WC& Co” and the word”NAVY” The lamp works; there is a functioning pull chain for on/off. The cloth cord reflects the age of the lamp and it is frayed in several places and may need to be replaced. Overall condition is very good. The lamp weighs almost 6 lbs. 11 oz. For your consideration is this Great Oil Lantern I purchased at a sale. It had been hanging in the old barn for years. The woman told me that her'Granny' had given it to her years before. Not sure of it's age. I just rinsed it off and you can still see the water in the pics. It was dirty and unfortunately the Amber glass globe was broken. Laying in the bottom.The dia. of the globe base is 1 1/4" to replace the globe. It is still dirty and the brass could use a polishing. It has one dent that is pictured. could be popped back out with the right tool) It has side glass panels that will remove for cleaning as does the front door glass. It has a wire cage ... morefront& a tight snap lock. The wick moves nicely. The cap on top features a Ship's Steering wheel& a plaque area at the bottom. The lantern measures right at 11" tall from base to peak. It is 15" tall to top of handle. It is 6" wide in front and back. 4" wide on the sides. It tapers up to 3.5" wide. Such a neat old find. Brass cargo lamp. Hurricane lamp. Never used. Consists of a small brass oil lamp enclosed in an armored brass housing. The top of the housing tips back, the lamp can be partially lifted and the chimney assembly tips back to light the wick. Or, the lamp can easily be completely lifted out of the assembly. Rivets hold brass rods that protect the glass windows. The assembly and hinge are riveted together. A brass chain holds the latch, and the window panes are original. The chimney of the oil lamp has small waves and bubbles in it, and the heavy brass castings for the rope tie-offs suggest it is old. It is all riveted together with brass rivets. There are no stamps or words that I could find anywhere on the lamp or housing beyond the heavy brass plaque riveted to the top, Cargo Light. NO 3954, GREAT BRITAIN, 1939" I bought this lamp in ... more1984 but never used it. It will burn whale oil. Lamp oil, or undyed kerosene a.k.a. parrafin oil. With the handle folded down, it is approximately 15" high, X 9" across the castings, X 7 1/2" The small lamp inside is approximately 10" high X 4" in diameter. Vintage Antique Maritime Brass and Copper Ship's Lantern - Anchor- England
For sale is a vintage/antique brass and copper maritime ship's lantern made by Anchor in England. It's in great shape. Obviously used and showing normal wear and tear with lots of patina. The lantern has been retrofitted with an electrical ceramic light socket although it does not come with a cord. Beautiful globe- would be a wonderful light fixture for any collector or nautical buff. The lantern is brass with glass panels on each side and a loop on the top to hang the lantern. Interior of the lantern has reflectors on the top and an oil compartment that has been electrified. The light housing is removable from the lantern. Top of the lantern is marked with"Clipper Ship Lamp. No. 1255. Dumbarton. Scotland. 1869. There are brass rods across the glass panels and the panels can easily be seen through. This lantern is believed to be original based on the fact that this lantern has reflector plates and has a thick. Brass data plate. Reproductions do not have reflectors and they have thin, flimsy data plates. As of listing time, the lantern is in WORKING condition. ... moreNo damage to the cord. This lantern would make an excellent addition to your lantern or nautical collection! The top of the lantern sits crooked. A flaw in the manufacturing of the lantern. Burner is loose from the font. One of the glass panels has a large crack in it with smaller cracks around the bottom corner. Some tarnish is present on the inside and around the data plate. Some minor wear is present throughout from age and use. A small dent is in the top and a small dent is in the side of the burner. One of the metal panels across the top of the glass has some bending.
