The wide end with the glass measures 17 1/2 inches wide with the glass being right at 15 inches wide. The top mounting pipe we have installed is 10 inches long. You can make this light shorter by changing out this pipe with a shorter piece. Or you can make the light hang further down by adding a longer pipe. This pipe is common 1/2 inch black iron pipe you can buy at most hardware stores pre-threaded. We have used a hammered gold paint to give this iron pipe a matching brass look. The ceiling mount is 3 1/8 inches wide with four mount holes. This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts made by Westinghouse Electric. Our newly installed lighting hardware is rated for any voltage under 250 volts, so normal house power is not an issue. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb with a wattage of less than 150 watts. Since the inside housing has very little space restrictions, you can even use the newer compact fluorescent bulbs, or a spot light with a common screw in base. Our wiring exits the center hole of the ceiling mount and we provide about 30 inches of extra wiring. When we find these lights. They are painted. We have removed the paint and polished the copper and brass. We do not try to polish our lights to the point they look new, so some buyers may spend some additional time doing additional polish work to get the light to your desired finish. Most people we have talked to hang our lights of this design with no additional polishing. The 8 closure nuts on the glass end of the light have been cleaned and oiled so they spin on and off with just a little effort. The glass on this light has some surface scratches. I could not find a maker's name but the adjuster has a 6 point star trademark and the bottom is marked"tarnish resistant wash& wipe" The glass shade has an acid etched ship pattern. It comes with a tall thin glass smoke chimney. It measures 15" high to the top of the chimney, the base is 3 5/16" wide. It has very obvious quality- best you could possibly find. Perhaps made by Weems& Plath or Scandinavian maker. Fine clean solid condition with no damage- check my photos. As soon as you have it in your hands you will be very impressed with this magnificent boat lamp.

US Navy Ship Bulkhead Lights Brass - Corning Lenses - WW2 Era
You are bidding on 2 brass covered. Interior bulkhead lights. They are about 8" high, 4.5" wide and 4" deep. The covers are solid brass and the lenses read"Corning Made in USA 3DX3 F.S.O. on the inside. They both have the wiring and the bulb socket although one of them is squashed a little bit. One is missing a brass holding screw for the cover and the remaining screw is stripped out. They have an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers sticker on the back but you can barely make them out. I am brokering a fairly large maritime collection which has a number of items from WW2 Naval ships so I believe these are probably from a US Navy ship of some kind but I have no proof of that as the collector has passed on and records are sketchy. Vintage unmarked 9" high brass lantern has a brass carry handle(makes it 9-3/4" high) to carry or to hang it, and a small Simplex kerosene burner with E Miller USA wick advance adjustment knob which works. The removable fount does not have a refill cap. And I have not been able to remove the wick top for refill. Buyer should assume that may not be able to remove. We have not tried WD40. Etc, or maybe I do not know how to remove the top. This is a cylinder shape. App 3" diameter across the base. No dents or dings, there are a very few small signs of use, on little mark on the lid, this has been a display piece for many years. This little solid brass lamp has a glazed hinged door glass app 2-1/2" high by 2-1/4" wide. Looks original, and there are 30+ small holes punched in the base for draft, There is an adjustable ... moretop that screws up and down to act as a damper. The door has a sliding pin closure. Hinge has no problems. Not sure what this was used for: maritime for a ship binnacle light. Early automobile? Neat little lantern in very nice shape. Lots of Photos! A pair of port and starboard kerosene ships running lights. I call them"old" since I suspect my brother bought them in a foreign country many years ago when he was in the merchant marine. I hesitate to call them"authentic" since they have plates on them which state: Port. Starboard. I don't think real sailors need to be reminded what the red and green lenses denote. They are constructed of copper/brass/bronze, appear to be plastic green/red lenses, approximately 12.5 inches high, 7.5 inches across. The starboard kerosene insert is slightly bent(not visible when door closed. If you purchase and are unsatisfied, of course I will take them back for a refund(only minus shipping)

Hello up for auction we have a very nice vintage Pauluhn brass double globe navigation ship light. It is very large and has 2 clear globes that are 6 inches in diameter, each globe measures 7 inches tall. The whole light fixture it self measures 9 inches in diameter and is 16 inches tall, it has a clear light on top and a red light on bottom. It is electric and works great. Bulpitt& Sons Solid Brass Nautical Maritime Ship Oil Lantern all original BULPITT& SONS BIRMINGHAM Is embossed on the chimney of the lantern. But barely legible due to a light stamp. The date is also stamped on the chimney but cannot be read. Fully functional. Heavy gauge brass with copper rivets lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead, cabin, wardroom lamp/ lantern. Bulpitt and Sons LTD is imprinted on both the chimney and Bulpitt on the oil tank. Manufactured by famed English maker. Bulpitt and Sons, Birmingham, England. This is an extraordinary and rare item in excellent condition. The lantern measures 16" at the tallest chimney point and 20" with the wooden handle extended. 8" wide at the back, 5" deep. Weighs amost 11 lbs. The back is flat and boasts a huge brass clip ... morewith copper rivets for sturdy mounting. The front is three-sided with glass windows which are all intact, with no cracks or chips. The original brass burner is also in excellent condition with a wick, not sure it is the original. The stamp on the burner clasp reads Bulpitt. A brass reflector wall is behind the burner. The burner looks as though never used and slides out easily through the glass door on the right. There is also a slide on the side of the door that moves to expose an opening without having to open the door. The chimney top opens and the entire top is hinged to flip back allowing access to the chimney. It even still has the solid brass knob on the front lower corner. There are a few small dents consistent with its age. But it does not detract from the overall beauty of this gorgeous piece of British seafaring history. This would make a great piece to add to any maritime nautical collection.

Use your own judgment. And look at the pictures carefully. They probably date back to the teens or 1920s. The brass has been painted over with black paint. They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. One lantern still has its mounting bracket. And the globe has a crack on the side(approx. 3” long) Also that cap on top is missing a small piece where it would attach to the lantern. You can easily wire it directly to the wall, if desired. It uses one standard size bulb. From the base to the top of the anchor measures approx. 9 1/2" tall.
