Large Antique Nautical Lantern Vintage 5-way Green Ship Lamp Port& Starboard Used- Antique Nautical Lantern This lantern has some discoloration around glass and on seams. Pictures reflect a bent spot along one of the upper seams. Approximate size is 14.5" tall including carry handle by 9" wide. This lantern has NOT been converted to an electrical light. I have included the lighted pictures so you can see the brilliance of the green glass. Glass does not have any cracks or major scratches in them. The glass does not have any marks in the glass, other than what appears to be consistent with how glass was made during that time. I do not know the exact age of this lantern. However it is the only one I have seen with 5 semi-globe sections. I was going to convert this Kerosene/oil lamp into a lighted lamp and clean it up for my nautical ... morethemed room, but never got around to it. I now am moving and liquidating some of my stuff. I did pay quit a bit for this lamp due to its unusualness and size, however I am willing to take any reasonable offers. This would be a great old kerosene o conversion lantern to put in a parlor, back porch, sitting room or make great lighting for movie night. I prefer the green over your normal red port lights because it is a little softer and not as aggressive in nature depending on your usage or if you decide to use it for a child's night lantern for sleeping. It is very heavy and made of thick bronze and brass. It runs on 110v and takes a standard bulb. The bulb is not included. We left all of the original patina on it but it would polish up to a mirror finish. We were told they used these in navy battleship pilothouses but we don't know for sure. This piece was purchased at an estate sale of a collector. I don't know much about it except that it is rare and vintage from the 1960s-70s. I was told that it is extremely rare to see a 7" lantern lamp piece designed as an electric table lamp. The lantern is signed and numbered"kingedwheel" No. 350.made in japan. see pix The condition is excellent for its age. With the only noticable wear being on the brass pole above wooden ball. HUGE 19" KILBORN SAUER CO. Nautical Ship navigation Light Lantern Antique
This is a HUGE antique ship navigation light. I have never seen one this large. It weighs over 17 lbs and measures 24"including the handle. The bottom plate is missing. The globe is red and is stamped and made by Perko so I think just the glass was made by them. Im not sure if this has the original wiring or if it was rewired for personal use there is a light bulb inside that hangs from the top. The bulb and wires can be easily removed.

Hi. Up for sale is a vintage brass ship light that has been converted to a lamp. It looks great but has some wear and issues. It has some rust around the seams. There are a couple small chips in the glass. The glass globe is upside down. There is a screw missing off the back. There is no lamp shade. The lamp shade holder is loose. The dimensions(without the lamp extension) are about 16" to the top of the handle. It is about 10.5" deep and 10.5" wide.

Antique Marine Navigators Lantern Brass Signal Lamp w original Candle Boat Light
Antique Maritime Boat Navigators Lantern! It is Marked Navigators Lantern but it is so covered in old paint you can only make out the L. See pics. Somewhat rare piece. Brass with Original glass and original candle, see pics. Stands about 8 1/2" tall not including handle/hanger. It's been painted black over what looks like it's original green. Most of these I've seen have a back piece with two metal"handles" So either this one came without them and with this hanger or the handles were removed and the hanger added later. However I don't see any removal holes anywhere on the back but I do see possible old weld marks covered up with old paint. There is a metal peg missing on the front that slides the inner door around to block the light. The door does slide. It has both the inner brass slide door and blackened metal ... moresheathe. Hard to show in pics. Paint is severely flaked. It is in it's original condition as is the candle see pics. Glass is not chipped nor cracked but dingy, needs cleaned and has a cool air bubble in it but you can only see it when it's opened and I didn't get a picture. Very solid hinges are tight and fine. One small dent near globe on it's right if facing it. Hard to see but I got the best pic I could of it. Clasp is strong and door shuts tightly. Nothing wiggles or moves around. You could actually use this right now. All in original condition. The only thing I'm not definite on is it's age. It could be back as far as the Civil War era or just late 1800's. It is believed to have been used as a Railroad signal lantern. conductor's lamp on a train here in the Southwest but I have no evidence to prove that. Very unique Antique nautical metal lantern. The lantern has 8 glass sides. 3 lights(electric candles) The Antique lantern also has 8 knobs as feet. With a wooden handle. The wood and lantern is a little worn, nothing you would not expect from a antique. It also has a mounted arch. Needs to be rewired. Maybe the lantern was originally gas. But not 100% sure. Comes with 7 1/2" feet of chain. I think it was used on a Old Cruise Ship as a swag. You can take the chain off and just use on a table. After it was rewired. Measures 20 1/2" tall 6 3/4"wide.

Antique Copper & Brass Lantern Horse & Buggy
16 inch long lantern originally made in the late 19th century for the horse and buggy trade. Two sides are thick beveled glass and one has a round red glass center. Someone decided to wire it and use it for their house. We bought it years ago with the intention of restoring it to its original condition. The housing and top is copper. The bottom, which should unscrew, probably held oil. It has been dropped a few times in its 150 year history. So, it is a project. You could hang it up and put a candle in it, rewire it, or do what we meant to do and restore it.

Antique ships lantern lamp copper brass large look
This is a Large(approx. 17 1/2ins tall and approx 12ins wide) heavy( approx. 15lbs) vintage ships lantern. Which has a thick glass Fresno. It is metal which looks like brass and copper( see pics) and has a wooden base. It is electrified and has a place for a small bulb inside. I tested it with a working bulb but it did not light I imagine that it is either the switch or the wiring so it will need fixing The lamp came from an Estate sale and whilst I was not able to get a history on it I was told by the agents that it had been in the family for a long time. As you can see it has not been polished and is a little dusty( as were all the items at the sale! The glass is very thick and appears to be old with imperfections and bubbles. I found one minute flea bit chip in one of the ridges, I tried to show it on the photos but it can more be felt ... morethat seen. It is being sold as- found. At the age of 22, Robert Edwin Dietz bought a small lamp and oil shop in Brooklyn, New York. Robert, with his brother William, called the company Dietz, Brother and Company. One of their first products was a candle lantern; they later made sperm whale oil lamps, girandoles, hall lamps, and chandeliers. Three more Dietz brothers joined the company in 1855, and the name became Dietz and Company. That same year, the brothers built a large factory in New York City. Dietz merged with the Steam Gauge and Lantern Company of Syracuse, New York, and eventually moved the company's manufacturing center to that city. THE DIETZ CONVEX LANTERN: This is a great antique lantern of large size. It measures 20" high to the top of the ring holder. The clear blown glass globe is 9" in diameter. The protective cage around the globe is 11 1/2" in diameter. The lantern weighs 6.3 pounds. It has a great old antique red paint patina that was applied over the base tin metal. The burner slides out through the bottom of the base. CONDITION: The lamp is in good antique condition. There are use and age marks. Including paint loss in several areas. Antique 1950's USCG 200mm Lovell BU-48 Buoy Lantern /Light 12v DC All Original
A wonderful find for the nautical collector. This is a 200mm Lovell BU-48 04-8 buoy lantern used by the USCG. It is electrically operated and requires 12 volt DC from either batteries or solar power. This is original and has not been converted for home use. Inside there are 4 small light bulbs which rotate for identifying the location I suppose. These lanterns were used from the 1940's to about the 1970's. The lantern is missing one of the secure down clamps. A nut that I am pointing out with my finger and there are some small chips on the edges of some of the glass ridges. Inside there seems to be a wiring diagram attached so that you could check out of the wiring. It also needs a complete dismantle, cleaning and painting. I have left it in the original state in the event this is the way you want it or that you might want to restore ... moreit. It will need Liquid Wrench, TLC and lots of labor of love. ANTIQUE SOLID BRASS SHIP'S PERKO LANTERN PERKINS MARINE LAMP & HARDWARE CORP.
This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. They are in excellent shape but could use a good cleaning and of course fuel and a new wick. English made" There is only one small ding on the rear of one(pictured) Unrestored original patina. The lanterns stand 9" tall with the glass globe. Original globes in very good shape. A great addition to any old maritime theme.

Antique marine lantern electrified Wilcox & Crittenden Middletown CT, pair
These Wilcox& Crittenden Marine lanterns have been converted to electric. Both lights work. Both have base of original kerosene container and only needs small burner/ wick insert to convert it back to the original state. see photo. Contact me for any questions. Both measure about 12" tall without carrying handle. 5 1/2" wide. All patina untouched. I have not cleaned either. Antique Adlake Non Sweating Lantern Box Style 1 Way Signal Lamp(still not sure if this item is for Railroad or Boating industry) maybe someone out there can give me some data. Red Pyrex Glass appears to be in excellent shape still. From what I'm learning these unique lanterns were used by river lamplighter to mark the shoals on a Big River or Lake. But I haven't been able to verify this yet. I stumbled upon this at a thrift store today and have spent a bunch of time just trying to figure out what I have here. lol It is VERY heavy and appears to be made out of Black Wrought Iron. It also appears that all the parts are intact. There is a little kerosene container inside and the wick is still in the canister. Very cool and Large lantern. 16" inches tall x 9" inches wide x 9" inches deep.

Antique Brass Ships Lantern E. Miller & Co. Boston
This is a very different antique brass lantern. Probably used in the cabin of a ship or on a wall mount. The glass globe is not original. And not even old. But it does fit. I have never lit the lamp and is in as found condition. I am not near the coast anymore and figured someone may like it who is closer to the Ocean. It has great patina. I have never polished it. The fill cap has coinded edges and does unscrew easy. The wick adjustment does work and reads E. Miller& Co. Made in USA And then the large word Boston is on two sides of the lamp. Being all brass it was ment to be on or near the salt air. The inside is clean. I have never put fuel in the lamp. The lead on the bottom of the lamp was done I do not know when or what fore.
