Both have brass peg legs with a square base that is made of iron. Around the glass of the lantern is a brass frame and the tops of the lanterns are also brass. Glass is on two sides of the lanterns while the other two sides are all iron. Each has a burner and reflector inside, which can be easily accessed through the back which opens on a hinge. The base has two mount holes that are about 5 inches on center of each other. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 6 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired ... morewith all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit the light from a new hole we drilled in the base of the light. You are bidding on the two vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling lights shown in the above photos. These lights measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globes are glass and in good condition. Each light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. Each light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any ... morevoltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust! Up for auction is a pair of 2 antique Maritime passageway heavy brass/bronze ship lights with cobalt blue glass globes with sliding doors and a handle for hanging. There are doors that slide on the lamp to open and close the cobalt blue glass globe. The base is all heavy brass/bronze and has a threaded top with moveable handle. On the top of the lamp it has a threaded fitting marked. 9-S-5010-L Type XXII Size B. The threaded top of the light has 9-S-2108-L. There is a gasket with washer and light socket inside, so changing the bulb is very easy. The cobalt blue globe is very heavy, please check pictures and measures 4 ½” diameter x 5” long with rounded bottom. On the rim of the cobalt blue globe it has Type H 2034 L P.G. Co. There are no chips or cracks on the globe. Underneath on the top ring it has 2099-L-3 and on the bottom section ... moreis 2099-L-4. The heavy base contains the sliding door to open and close. Wonderful estate found matching pair of older heavy brass nautical ship oil lamps featuring a bell and a rounded base that rocks like a buoy. Both are converted to electricity and work well. These antique maritime items were probably originally used on a yacht and date to about circa 1890-1900. They are both in excellent all original complete condition free of wear through or dents and only in need of a little polishing as I have left just as they were recently found in an old estate. 2 Vintage Brass RUSSELL& STOLL NY Explosion Proof Lights- PURPLE GLASS GLOBES: Up for auction is a fantastic set of 2 vintage industrial lights which I rediscovered recently in a basement which had been untouched for over 50 years. Along with these two lights. I found 8 addition vintage explosion proof ceiling lights which I will be listing in the near future so please be sure to check back often. These 2 explosion proof lights were made and are clearly marked RUSSELL& STOLL CO. NEW YORK which is embossed on the top of the brass metal fixtures. Attached to the heavy brass fixtures(which were painted silver/ grey at one point in time) are the stunning purple glass globes. These two lights obviously once hung outside or directly in the sunlight because the maganese in the glass has oxidized over many years with the exposure to the suns ... moreUV radiation. Both thick glass globes have a perfect light tinted purple coloration to them and both of the glass globes are in excellent condition given their age having no cracks or chips in the globes themselves(other than a couple of small flea bites around the base which cannot be seen once screwed into place) and the threading on the glass allows the globes to screw into place easily and tightly without any wiggle room in their brass fixtures. Although the two lights are very similar in size and shape, there are a couple of very small differences between the two including the bulb fixtures(one is marked: BRYANT 660W 250V PAT'D NOV. 26, 1907) and the mounting brackets. I have not tampered with these two lights but I have taken them apart(as shown throughout my photographs) so that you can inspect the overall condition of each light. I have gently cleaned the interior& exterior of each of these lights so the winning bidder will receive very clean items but please keep in mind that I have not tested these lights for their working condition. The bulbs that are currently with the lights are the ones which were found with them(one being an earlier National Mazda bulb)

ANTIQUE 1800S TWO(2) BRASS MINER’S SAFETY LAMPS DESCRIPTION OR HISTORY ABOUT This safety lamp was manufactured by the American Safety Lamp and Mine Supply Company of Scranton. Pennsylvania in the latter half of the 19th century. This Clanny style safety lamp employs a wire gauze and a glass globe surrounding the wick to protect the flame. Safety lamps were invented in the early 19th century, and are used to this day for gas detection, even as mine lighting has been replaced by electric lights. You are bidding on the original ceiling light with the baked porcelain over steel shade. The cage is brass and the top section of the light is steel. We have applied a fresh coat of good quality paint to the top section of this light that is made of steel. We do not see these very often. So do not miss out on this rare find! The porcelain shade is 12 inches wide. When the light is mounted to the ceiling, it will extend down about 9 inches. This light weighs about 6 1/2 pounds. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the glass globe. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that is UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse ... moreElectric. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 50 watts or less. Wired to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The top side of the ceiling junction box is 4 1/2 inches wide and the two mount holes are 5 inches on center of each other. These are great for interior and exterior projects!
