$15.10 Shipping Location: Roanoke, United States This is a beautiful 9-1/2 inch Victorian hand-painted ball shade with pink morning glories on the front and back. An authentic antique shade whose background ... morecolor is a deep turquoise blue at the top that fades into lighter turquoise until it becomes fully white at the fitter end. The shade is decorated with pink morning glories with lovely green leaves. The background color of this shade was“spun painted” so that the color starts out deep at the top of the shade and as the shade is spun around. The color fades until it is completely white at the fitter end of the shade. The technique used to paint the design on these antique shades is referred to as“over-painted transfer, meaning that the intended design was applied to the glass globe like a“decal” and then the artist painted on top of the transfer with the brilliant/lifelike colors. Finally the completely decorated shade was fired in a kiln. The shade retains its original brass top ring. Has a standard 4-inch fitter rim, stands 9-1/2 inch tall and is in mint condition. This is so beautiful. A regal and large(13" high by 6 1/2" wide antique Bohemian Czechoslovakian hand painted lustre with 10 crystal prisms(7" long) The condition is fantastic. There is a photo of a small flake on the inside of the piece at the inside top. It is barely noticeable and the photo has been enlarged. The prisms are all in great condition with maybe a flea bite here and there but quite honestly. I'm protecting myself in full disclosure. there is nothing tragically wrong with this piece whatsoever. Vintage Candlesticks Holders Pair Pink Depression Glass Hand Painted 1930s
From an estate. Lovely old pair of hand painted candlestick holders. They measure 3-1/4" tall with a base diameter of about 4-1/4" The base is clear glass, the holder itself is pale pink. The floral painting is in excellent condition but there is some scratching and loss to the gold trim paint. In my opinion, however, it is not excessive considering their age which I believe to be circa 1930s. I am uncertain of the maker but I did find a similar pair on an antiques site that identified the maker as Indiana Glass. There are no actual chips or cracks. BUT. PLEASE NOTE: there is a triangular crack on one of the holders that I believe is a manufacturing flaw as it seems to be inside the glass. It is near the top and I have shown it in the seventh and eighth photos. It would hardly be noticeable with candles but you should know that ... moreit is there. These are estate pieces being sold as described as is. I cannot guarantee that they have not been exposed to odors: smoking.
