Pair of Antique Yellow Satin Glass Bobeches circa 1850
These are yellow satin glass bobeches in swirl pattern circa 1850. One of them has what appears to be a piece of glass on the side which I presume is from the mold. I have shown it in two of the pictures. It in no way detracts from the beauty of these. There are no chips or cracks. They are approximately five inches across and two inches high. This listing is for 3 vintage satin uranium custard glass bobeches with ruffled rims and ribbed pattern. Two are the same size and one is smaller. But all three have a 1” diameter opening. The larger bobeches measure about 3 5/8” wide and 1 1/4” deep; one of them has a chip in the underside of the inner rim. The smaller bobeche measures about 3” wide and 1” deep; it has two chips on the inner rim.

It seems most of the Victorian Satin glass Fairy Lamps are attributed to Webb glass of England. But really I am unsure. I would also believe the Jewels are probably Czech. The first photo of the lamp shows its natural color. The following four show it with a tea light inside of it. It is a very scarce lamp.

Two Bobeche Satin Art Glass Cream Yellow with Frosted Ruffled Edge Swirl
Two Bobeche Satin Glass in a Pale Cream Yellow. A Slightly Raised Molded Swirl design on the Exterior. Smooth on the Interior. I have done some research on the internet and it appears that the edging on the ruffle is called frosted glass and the whole would be called a frosted crested ruffled rim. It may be condsidered Opalescent as well. The pale creamy yellow glass would be satin, likely from the Victorian Era. I am not the expert and these are suggestions only so please let me know if this is not correct. The glass is strong without cracks. Shallow flakes or nibbles around the opening. There are a few flaws in the glass itself. Likely a result of impurities and present when they were made. I do not know where or when they were made. They have been gently washed over the years and kept clean; I have wanted not to break them. These are old ... moreglass and not perfect. They are very pretty. For auction are 2 vintage candle bobeches. They are yellow cased glass. Double crimped edges with a clear crest. The back side is yellow satin glass with a swirl design. The inside is white.
