This candelabra set is in very nice condition without any chips or cracks on the candle holders or bobeches. I did notice maybe a tiny chip or two on the spears. It has all of the original spears but not the octagon prisms. Two of the replaced octagon prisms I think might be crystal. Have newer wire hooks, and one prism is missing. I was able to hang the one spear with the missing prism on so you don't really notice that anything is missing. There is etching on the base of the candelabras. I don't know how old or their maker. They were picked up at an estate sale. I believe all of the pieces are glass and not crystal even though ... moreit is about as showy and sparkly as crystal. I'm not seeing the rainbow colors, nor hearing the higher ting of the spears. I hope that is helpful in determining why I think it is glass. 3 Antique Vintage Candlesticks - Golden Amber, Aqua Blue & Emerald Green
Here are three candlesticks. Each in a gorgeous color: a rich golden amber, the aqua blue of Carribean seas, and a rich emerald green. The shape is terrific! Unlike many candlesticks. The bell shape catches any drips, protecting wooden surfaces and saving the ordeal of removing wax from fabric. I have taken a photo of one piece upsidedown. They are smooth and finished which seems as if a very thin taper candle could be used with the candlesticks reversed. Each is 2 1/2" tall. 3 3/4" at the top and 1 3/4" at the base. All three are in perfect condition. I am not certain of their age but were purchased at an antique barn some years ago. See photos below. Write with any questions. This item is a beautiful Double Candelabra/Candle Holder with Light. I believe someone made it into an electric light but I believe you can take the electrical parts off if you didn't want the light. The light does work. It has two candle holders that fit into each arm and each have 6 glass prisms. It is a large piece. Measuring 8" tall from bottom of base to top(not including light bulb fixture) and it is 11 1/2" wide from arm to arm. the Base is 6 1/2" in dia. It is very heavy and I believe it is lead crystal. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a crack in one of the holders(see pic#9) which is not all the way through and barely noticeable. These are a pair of rare vintage Czech Bobeche with 8 pins in each of them. These are vintage from Czech-circa 1940 quite unique. We have not found any like these anywhere on the internet and can make a great start to creating your own bobeche set with choice of prisms. They are part of a limited collection of antique crystals preserved by my grandfather who collected these in the 1940's. These vintage Bobeche have some signs of age as they are over 60 years old and have a smokey antique green color to them. They have been stored in their original wrappers from when my grandfather packed them away. This pair of candle holders or hurricane candelabras are just perfect! They are NOT NEW but probably date around 1900's. 1920's at the latest I think they could be Heisey but could not find a mark anywhere on them. Put together, top on bottom they stand just short of 12" My eBay pics. make them look"squaty but they are not! The top alone is 8" and the base stands 5" They fit together perfectly so I am sure these are the correct bottoms to these tops. Very old Early American Pattern Glass Pair of Clear Candle Sticks. They appear to have a pattern of Fish Scales and have 3 twig branch legs that sit upon the base below the glass handle holder. The bottom base that sits on the table has a pointed scalloped edge. These are old. In great condition, have not been used for years except to be displayed in a cabinet. These came from a very high end executives home who at one time many years ago was the president of the power company here in CT. It leans forward as can be seen from the side view. The candleholder is in the shape of a bird claw. The holder measures just under 5.5 inches tall and is about 4.5 inches wide. It is in good condition, but does show some wear to the brass patina and some odd shaping or possible chipping to the glass underside where is meets the cast iron.
