VICTORIAN SAMUEL CLARKE CRICK LITE CRANBERRY GLASS FAIRY LAMP Dating to around 1890. This lovely little Samuel Clarke Crick Lite Cranberry glass fairy lamp is such a little beauty. It is complete with the candle holder insert and the cranberry glass chimney is shaded. The piece stands just a bit over 5" tall. During the Victorian era, these lights served as night lights but were also used on dining tables and elsewhere for soft lighting and their decorative effect. The most well-known of the fairy lamps were made by Samuel Clarke. This lamp is marked Clarke Crick Lite and Trademark around Clarke's trademark fairy holding a wand, found inside the outer base cup. Set of two Cranberry Red Candle Holders they measures a little over 6" tall and the base is 3 3/4" The color is Cranberry Red with gold accents. I can't find a name or mark but they do appear to be old. There is some wax residue which I did not try to clean. There is some loss to the gold but if it is as old as it appears that's to be expected. Some rough edges to the bottom especially on the corners it is not visible but you can feel it when you run your hand around the bottom. Email questions I will be happy to answer.

Sorry I do not know the maker of this set. In nice vintage condition with only damage found being a very small chip to edge of top on one of the cups. It actually looks like a manufacturing flaw when you look with a magnifying glass. Where the edge of the flaw was rubbed off.

The base is cranberry on the exterior and green on the interior. From the underside one can see that the green is cased with clear glass. The green has some white spotting visible from the exterior. The top is a ruby red glass with a diamond quilted type pattern. This fairy lamp came out of an estate collection. I don't know for certain whether this top was always with this base. The base measures about 5 1/4" across. Total height with top in place is about 4" Base is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks except for some tiny ... moreflecks along the sharp inside edge. The top has a bruise to bottom edge(see photo) and two shallow chips to bottom edge(see photos) The larger of which is about 1/4" across. There are some minimal flecks to sharp inside edge at top, most likely in the making. I don't see any other issues. I don't see any maker's mark. A really fine lamp. NO RESERVE. There are 6 prisms hanging by wire from the rim of it. The Candle Holder itself is approx. 8 1/2" tall and 4 3/4" wide. Very Good CONDITION. THERE ARE NO CHIPS CRACKS OR REPAIRS on the candle holder. On the Hurricanes there is a little roughness on the base of each. You can see this issue in the photos. There is slight wear to the color also can be seen in the picture. Although the hurricane(plus an extra one) fit very well on the candleholder they are not an original set. But they do look terrific together.
