This candelabra set is in very nice condition without any chips or cracks on the candle holders or bobeches. I did notice maybe a tiny chip or two on the spears. Antique / Very old Moon with crystals candle holder
For auction here is a very old candle holder with crystals. It's very beautiful and has alot of character. some of the crystals are missing but the frame is intact. I have seen pieces similar to this one in museums, usually in sets, sun and moon, unfortunately I just have the moon one here. the height stands 17" and the base is 3" square it is about 10" from candle to candle. Gorgeous Large & Rare! Fine Antique Victorian Crystal Candelabra w/ Prisms
~ Gorgeous Large& Rare! ~ Fine Quality 4-lite Antique Victorian Crystal Candelabra or Lustre with Cut Glass Prisms This is a fabulous find from a wonderful old Connecticut estate sale. Which also contained pieces from the Vanderbilt estate formerly located at the site of the Empire State Building on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. We cannot establish for certain the provenance of this fine candelabra, so we make no claim; however the quality is beyond question. This gorgeous piece is very large and magnificent. Standing approximately 21" in height and nearly 13" in width and made of fine quality crystal in the Victorian era. Each arm of the candelabra comes off the sturdy and substantial hexagonal base and central stem. There is a small defect in the glass of the center stem(See Photo#5) which we point out in the interest of full disclosure ... morebut does not in any way detract from the astounding beauty of the piece. The three arms each terminate in a floral-shaped bobeches designed to catch any wax falling from the lit candles. Upon each is a single candle holder with a scalloped top edge. Each bobeche is adorned with either 9 or 10 prisms that are approximately 4" in length. One of the candle holders has a repair to it which is visible upon close inspection(See photos#9& 10) While the repair is not offensive. VINTAGE ANTIQUE LUSTER LAMP- VASE PAINTED This Vase/Lamp comes from the Pitts family estate. The lamp was in use in the family home sometime from the 50's to the 80's and we are unsure of where it originally came from. For it's age it is in excellent condition and light paint wear. We did not find any seams on this piece there are only a few very small bubbles and inside there is at least 1 very small at the surface inside. I can't feel any chips- there are no cracks or damage. The edges feel to be cut and have some sharpness. approx 12 1/2" t& 6 1/4" d top 6"d bottom. The crystals hang approx 5" overall(all 3 pcs) there are 10 total crystals- 3 per hanging. Glass that contains manganese, when exposed to ultraviolet rays of the sun or other sources of UV rays, causes the glass to turn amethyst. Some of my amethyst bottles and glass are purpled from years of exposure to natural sunlight. Others have been purpled with the use of strong UV lights in a box…and some have been purpled by a process called“irradiation” which is a safe and permanent process which does the same thing as many years of exposure to natural sunlight, except much faster. To those"purists" who falsely believe that glass cannot turn this deep amethyst color naturally, I could take you to places where bottles and glass have turned this same shade of purple from being in the sunlight for many years. Antique Victorian 1800's Bohemian Glass Moser Luster Mantle Candle Holder Rare
Antique. Victorian, late 1880's Moser Glass, Bohemian Mantle Luster candle holder. This beautiful hand painted mantle Luster candle holder measures 14 3/8 inches high, the base is 7 1/2 inches diameter and the top crown is 7 3/8 inches wide. The long Lusters measure 6 inches long by 3/4 inches wide and top round Lusters measure 1 by 1. The total length of both measure 7 1/4 inches long. Because it is about 130 years old, there is the normal wear of the paint, especially on the top rim where there is some gold paint wear(normal age patina for it's age) There is 10 matching Lusters. Some of the Lusters have extremely small chips in some of them on the side of points, and not all of them, but just some of them, but not noticeable to the naked eye unless closely inspected. These candlesticks are made of a light green opaline glass and are very finely cut with a diamond pattern and are also faceted. Each of the candlesticks are hand blown with ground and polished pontils. On each of the candlesticks necks there are 7 holes for hanging prisms. Antique Pair of Crystal Candle Lamps with Hanging Cystals
This is a gorgeous Pair of Antique Crystal Candle lamps with Hanging Crystals and Etched Globes. They stand 17.5" tall. The base is 10" tall and the globes are 8" tall. The bases are made up of a 4" 4" x.75" square crystal followed by a 2.5" square crystal cube. A 1.75" square crystal cube and a 2.25" round ball. The globes are beautifully etched with flowers and leaves. The rim is 4.5" in diameter and the bottom is 1.5" round. Each candle lamp has eight 4" long hanging crystals. This was once electrified and could be made so again if you choose with a lamp kit. There is a cut in the base crystal for a cord. They are gorgeous either way! Shipping includes insurance.
