For sale I have a fantastic example of an early fairy lamp. I believe its a Webb piece. It measures about 4.5" tall and about 6" across the base. The condition is excellent for the age. The decoration is nearly all intact. There is an area where some is missing. See picture 8. There are no chips or cracks except for the usual chipping on the bottom inside rim of the shade, see picture 7. This is satin glass so it has faint scuffing on the base bottom and inside where the original CLARKES candle sits. I will leave the cleaning to you. I try to describe accurately. Antique Burmese Glass Clarke's Fairy Lamp Centerpiece HUGE UNUSUAL
This is truly unbelievable. I am going to let you shoppers be the judge of how this thing really works. I bought all these pieces together and not sure if it's put together right. I am familiar with Clarkes Fairy lamps but this piece has me baffled. So I decided to sell everything together. If it doesnt all go together then high bidder gets some bonus pieces. The two small pieces that are separate look as if they fit together, but trust me they don't, the dome is too large for the clear base. This is a unusually large centerpiece, I do believe it's Burmese, you be the judge. Both clear pieces and brass center are marked Clarkes Fairy. The clear pieces do have damage, the rest of the pieces have no damage. I have seen quite a bit of this type of glass but never this large. Base is 12" across, top base is 6 1/2" across. ... moreIt stands 7 1/2" tall. The two domes are: 3 3/8" wide by 3" tall. other one is 2 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" wide. Charming Antique Victorian Satin Glass Jeweled Fairy Lamp
This Fabulous Jeweled Blue Satin Glass Fairy Lamp measures about 5.25" tall and the under plate is about 6" in diameter. It seems most of the Victorian Satin glass Fairy Lamps are attributed to Webb glass of England. But really I am unsure. I would also believe the Jewels are probably Czech. The first photo of the lamp shows its natural color. The following four show it with a tea light inside of it. It is a very scarce lamp.

It features a beautiful cranberry and white Nailsea Pattern on the shade. The shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The glass base has an embossed fairy on the inside of the bottom. This week I have several samples of antique miniature oil lamps pictured in the most common reference ... morebooks written by either Smith or Hulsebus. But this lamp is a little different. This is a Fairy Lamp that used a candle rather than fluid for the flame. These types of lamps were produced from around the 1890's into the 1930's for both light and aumbiaunce. Be sure to take a look at all the photos of the lamp as they are part of the description. An example of this lamp is shown as figure#212 on page 71 in the book Fairy Lamps- Elegance in Candle Lighting by Ruf and Ruf. The book description for this lamp reads as follows: Cone-shaped dome. Lightly ribbed blue and opaque stripes, piecrust flared top rim, with three air notches in bottom rim. Dome rests in very low, footed, bulbous matching base with piecrust flared rim. 4.75 inches high and 6 inches in diameter. This lamp is as described other than the color. This example is red glass with the opaque stripes in the dome and base. Both the dome and base are in excellent condition. Do not let this great example get away. Up for auction is this genuine light blue or turquoise glass fairy lamp by Samuel Clarke. England. This genuine Victorian Era lamp is unusual as the usually clear base(Cup) is turquoise. It is also rare as the diamond pattern is four-in-one. These pieces are original to each other. The lamp measures 3 3/4" high. 2 1/4" diameter shade and 2 7/8" diameter base. There is a little hairline on the top of the dome(see pictures) It is in wonderful condition other than that. The base is marked with a Fairy and reads S. CLARKE FAIRY PYRAMID. The base is cranberry on the exterior and green on the interior. From the underside one can see that the green is cased with clear glass. The green has some white spotting visible from the exterior. The top is a ruby red glass with a diamond quilted type pattern. This fairy lamp came out of an estate collection. I don't know for certain whether this top was always with this base. The base measures about 5 1/4" across. Total height with top in place is about 4" Base is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks except for some tiny ... moreflecks along the sharp inside edge. The top has a bruise to bottom edge(see photo) and two shallow chips to bottom edge(see photos) The larger of which is about 1/4" across. There are some minimal flecks to sharp inside edge at top, most likely in the making. I don't see any other issues. I don't see any maker's mark. A really fine lamp. NO RESERVE.
