The Candlestick is part of a large and extensive set up for auction. If you wanted to have a look at my other items. The Candlestick is very finely made throughout and of a great Art Deco design. I was told the Candlestick was made by Moser in the earlier 1900s period and is a very rare find. The Candlestick is unmarked as I believe the earlier examples never were. As you can see the Candlestick has a finely etch decorated band with a nice scrolling design which is identical to that of the Moser Splendid glasses more commonly found in a clear color with gilding. I was unable to find anything like this set mostly being colored. Also leading me to believe it is also rarely seen. Another nice feature of the Candlestick is within the etched splendid design there is also nice multi colored enamel work. The top rim is also gold gilt, and the Candlestick is of top quality throughout. The Candlestick is in excellent all original condition with some wear to the Gold Band but no chips, cracks or repairs. Rare Antique Pair Of 18th Century Canary Vaseline Sandwich Glass Candlesticks
This an authentic pair of Eighteenth Century Sandwich Glass Candlesticks. Make note. These candlesticks are not 19th century I guarantee them to be 18th century and rare beyond belief. They are hand blown with imperfections inside the glass(air bubbles) The bottoms are worn, and the tulip top's have some chips, however there is enough material left so that they could be ground down and still accomodate a candle. The design is classic Sandwich Glass dating to the Revolutionary War(1770's-1780's) with Tulip top holders and round bottoms, but notice how the design is different in the base than more modern examples. The glass is Canary Yellow and are a magnificent rare item seldom seen outside of museums.
