This is a beautiful pair of clear glass candlesticks/ candle holders hand painted with colorful transparent enamels and gold gilt accents. The rims and base a gilded as well. The candlesticks are by Muhlhaus. Haida c.1900-1920. The sticks stand 8 7/8" tall and are in wonderful condition. They have some fleabites on the inside curved rims, hard to see unless closely inspected. Photos show well. No chips or cracks. Fine condition for the age and a beautiful matching pair seldom seen. Gorgeous/21" tall /handpainted cranberry bohemian moser lusters-hurricane shades
Antique hand painted cranberry lusters candle. Each lusters accommodates with 12 prisms. It is a gorgeous pair with original hurricanes. The age of this beautiful pair around the 1930's to 1950's. So they have heavy age wear on it. There is a little chips on it and also there is a little green mark on the body, but it is hard to see. Antique Victorian Bohemian? Czech? Glass Candlestick Applied Serpent & Teardrop
Welcome to my auction! For your consideration: Offering this antique Victorian era blown art glass candlestick candle holder. Estate item presented as"early art glass" In excellent condition with no chips and little. If any, wear and signs of use. However. There are two tiny rough areas on the rim of the cup. The areas measure approx. 1mm by 1mm each and I'm pretty sure they're from the making. One area definitely has a tiny clump of sand just barely protruding past the flush of the rim. These could be bruises or scuffs but I don't think so. Both areas have almost micro puckers and straw lines which extend from the tiny rough spots. Please see the image of the larger clump of sand embedded in the surface of the neck of the vase. I believe what I'm barely seeing with a loop is the same type imperfection. There are ... morea few more tiny puckers scattered about on the surface of the entire piece well. All from the making. I believe this is very old glass. Please see the images and use your own judgement. The joining/fusing?of the clear cased blue glass top to the clear stick is a little off center. There is a small irregular shaped blob of coral pink glass trapped within the emerald base beneath the pontil. Unusual-end of day piece? The blue is an aquamarine-turquoise color at the flared rim to a dark cobalt blue at the end. There is one tiny teardrop shaped controlled bubble within the clear glass stem at the very tip of the cased blue glass. The applied serpent snake is a light emerald green and the base is a darker emerald green glass. There are tiny tiny bubbles scattered throughout the entire piece. Especially the base. There are several larger bubbles in the emerald glass base and one tiny popped surface bubble on the very bottom, doesn't show, barely felt, from the making. The pontil is smooth. Bellport Jewelers& Rarities 631-286-7700 Description. Antique Ruby Red Bohemian Cut Glass in a very dramatic floral design. Tall Hurricane style Candle Holders with dark wood bases. They have a brass insert to hold the candle in place. Wood Base is approx. 6 1/2" wide X 11" height. The Hurricane Glass is approx. 4 3/4" on top(tapers in a little then opens at base) is approx. 9" height. One of the wood bases is in great shape and the other one is a bit loose- the bottom is like a cork and you screw it into the bottom base- this part is a bit loose- although just now I twisted it and it's in there tight. Point is though if you were to move these and weren't aware of the way the bases come apart you could wind up breaking the glass in moving them so use caution. Original period- they are dusty- nothing has been done to them other than the felts on the bottoms. I do not see any chips or scratches- still some wax in both. This pair of cut glass candlesticks are decorated with flowers and leaves which are painted in gold. The candlesticks were made in the late 19th century or early 20th century in Czechoslovakia.
