Antique Pr Girandoles on Marble Bases BIRDS and More BIRDS With Old Prisms
For your consideration we have an antique pair of brass[possibly some bronze] girandoles on marble bases. Purchased on a buying trip some time ago to Oregon. I have enjoyed having these displayed on my mantel, but wish to make room for something else. I love all the birds, and note on the upper portion near the candleholder, the 4 pair of birds are even feeding each other! The crystal prisms are quite old and appear to likely be the originals. These girandoles stand approx. 13" tall, while the crystals have an approx. total 4" drop. The prisms are lovely and sparkle. They do not show sparkling in the photos, and I will post a photo of one after the crystals are cleaned. In very good condition with normal and expected wear for something this age. The marble bases have felt bottoms and there is some very slight wear to the marble ... morewith some light discoloration; something that occurs in very old marble. Antique Pair of very Unique French Brass Lyre Girandoles with Crystals
This offering is for a very unique pair of girandoles. They are brass and I believe from the early 20th century. Rather than having the usual candleholder tops. These have brass flowers. They are very sculptural and add a nice sparkle to any room. Apprx. 15" tall. These came from an old estate in the Washington DC area. Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding.

These are absolutely stunning ornate. Gilt girandoles with white marble bases and beautiful crystals dripping off the foliate candle holders! These absolutely magnificent pieces probably date to 1850's-1900. They are replete with depictions of three squirrels on each piece amongst a background of what looks like morning glories and other foliage. These measure 12 3/8" H x 5 5/8" L x 3 3/4" D. There seems to be chips along the edges of most of the crystals. The shorter crystals are replacements as all should be the longer rectangular ones. Five of the originals have perished somewhere along the lines, but will send the other five with the set. This item is part of an ongoing effort to raise funds to benefit the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. PAIR AMERICAN 4-BRANCH DOLPHIN BRONZE& MARBLE GIRANDOLES with ORIGINAL CRYSTALS Presented is an impressive pair of American patinated bronze girandoles. Each piece has four arms. All three pieces have a striking design with entwined dolphins on the shaft. The arms and candleholders are ornamented with acanthus leaf decorations. Both girandoles have their original hexagonal button crystals and three-sided crystal prisms dangling beneath the candleholders. Each piece is mounted on a marble base with bolt construction. Everything is completely original. This set was made in America in the mid-1800s. Between 1830-1860. The girandoles will be shipped disassembled. The center column unbolts from the marble. And the front arm also unbolts from the standing element. The candle ... morecups and wax drips also unscrew from the arms. This is the best and safest way to ship. Reassembly is quite easy, even if you are not mechanically inclined. The set is in excellent condition. Most. If not all, of the long three-sided prisms have chipping to their edges, as is expected in a piece this old. Each branch is missing between 2-5 hanging crystal elements. The bronze is in great shape. Antique 3 Candle Girandoles Outstanding pair of gold gilt over brass girandoles resting on bronze plinths. They feature a man& lady fishing. Detailing is superb. We seldom see any girandoles this well made. Truely a top of the line set. There is one prism missing, supposed to 72 but there are only 71. Dimensions: Each is 13 1/2" tall x 15" wide. Condition: The brass collars under the candle holders are bent and cracked. One prism is missing and a few have bent wires. They could stand a good cleaning as they have candle wax in the holders. There are a few light to medium surface scratches and there is a good amount of wear in what is left of the painted floral design and trim. Also. One one of the girandoles, when looking inside near the top rim you can see a fold in the glass. It looks like a crack but it does not go through to the other side, cannot see when a light is shown through it, and both girandoles have a nice ring to them. The same girandole with the fold in the glass is missing 2 of its prisms. For your consideration is a beautiful pair of antique girandoles c1850- 1875 featuring a Colonial Navy Captain looking splendid in his uniform and a Colonial style woman wearing her elegant gown. This set is in good antique condition considering its over 150 years old. There is a bit of oxidation(that can be cleaned) and the marble bases are not as white as they once were. However. There are no chips in the marble and there is a thin hairline crack in the flowers above the male girandole's head, although it's hard to see unless magnified. ANTIQUE FIGURAL TABLE CHANDELIER CRYSTAL PRISM CANDELABRAS GIRANDOLES~JUMBO SIZE
This is a beautiful Set of Antique Girandoles having a three arm candelabra in the center and two large figural Candlesticks at each side. The set has a man and woman in Grecian dress holding up a child or cherub on their shoulders. Both the side pieces and the center piece have the matching figural. The tops are candle holders with long crystal prisms hanging all around the skirts. The pieces are not marked as is true with most 19th Century Girandoles. Each piece has a lovely piece of white marble bolted to the bottoms. The side candle stands are 12" tall. The center three arm candelabra is 18" tall by 16 3/4" wide. The finish on the set of three is worn. And the set needs a good polishing or cleaning. However the gilded finish is still very nice and adds to the character of the set. The prisms are all in good condition with ... morejust a few flea bite chips. They are beveled edge and etched with lovely little stars. The marble is good on each of the three pieces. It is a little stained and needs cleans. There are no breaks or cracks. Each marble base measures 6" wide by 4" deep. This is a tall set and with candles will be even more striking for a presentation on a fireplace, sideboard or table. The welds on the top candle surrounds are lose, but it would appear they help to dangle the crystals in a"midway swing" We are selling the set in as found condition. The base is a nice off white with minor wear on bottom. The brass is excellent and the crystals are a combination of similar but different ones. Their are 3 missing on the back of the right one. Each stick has eight(8) tear-drop prisms with eight(8) smaller octagonal prisms above them; are original. And in great condition. These are numbered: 5217 on bottoms, and have other markings(by an unknown maker) and are cast in a Baroque or Rococo Style. The upper disks have rounded, feathered swirls with beading, and the bases are triple footed- ending in'dolphin-head' shaped feet. Rounded upper sections have lipped rims, and each measures 11-3/4" tall, by 6-1/2" width. This pair is in mint shape without dents, dings, bends or other issues. Antique Girandoles-15 1/2 in.Pair-14 Crystal Prisms-Flower Basket-Marble Base
I'm selling this antique pair of girandoles. With a basket of flowers design on a white marble base. Each has 7 long 2-part crystal prisms, and these prisms have a scrolling floral design cut into them. The pair are approx 15 1/2 inches tall, and are in good overall condition for their age. The metal has most of the gold finish intact, with spots of wear here and there. The top parts that hold the candles have a few larger areas of gold loss, mostly to the inner side where a candle would cover it anyway. The girandoles consist of several separate parts that screw together, they then screw into the case, with all parts having a good fit. There are some spots of old wax here and there, but I removed most of it. The prisms have fleabites.they usually do because the prisms'clink' together. Which sounds very nice and musical, but is ... morehard on the crystals. About half have larger chips, again, not unusual, and because of the fancy design, they don't stand out the way they might have. Still, these are lovely old crystals of the type you don't find easily these days. Each hangs approx 6 inches, and are 2-part, with a square'top' and the longer rectangular bottom. There should have been 16 all together, but over the years 2 have gone missing. With the space in back, their absence is not really noticeable. Still, it might be an issue if you want to replace them, as I don't think it would be easy to find 2 that match, so keep that in mind. These are from the mid to late 1800's. And have some slight mis-bends in the metal, nothing bad, noticed mostly on the'stem' of one that leans slightly.It could probably be eased back to straight, but not necessary, as it doesn't detract from the appearance. I'd leave it alone, some imperfections are expected with old pieces. They display beautifully. All shipping costs are included. So what you bid is what you pay. Thanks for looking!

They are authentic and feature birds and grapes on one side as listed in the restored Dietz catalog. The hanging crystals are triangular with top buttons. There is minor wear on some of the crystals as expected as they are nearly 170 years old! The bases are marble and have developed patina and a few minor wear chips contributing to their authenticity. Beautiful Antique Brass Pair Girandoles Clear& Amethyst Crystal Prism Lamps They have been rewired and are in working order. Whoever rewired them covered the bottoms with felted paper which can easily be removed. Each lamp has beautiful clear and amethyst colored crystal prisms. One has 7 purple and 5 large clear crystals. The other has 7 large clear and 5 purple so you may want to switch one out with the other. There is one large clear prism which is not attached because the wire broke. The wires look old and I could try and remove the prisms when I ship but can't guarantee that some of the wires won't break. Otherwise I will wrap very carefully and ship them as you see them. Antique Pair Girandoles Brass/Bronze Marble Children With Prisms
Pair of girandoles either brass/bronze of two children. A girl with a bouquet of flowers. And a boy with a bird's nest. The top holder of the prisms is a pair of lovebirds and flowes all around. They stand 14" tall. The marble is 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" Each one has nine prisms that are incised with flowers and stars. They both have their original gilt. One of the girandoles is missing one prism. Pair antique Victorian girandoles candle holders brass marble bears bees prisms
A pair of antique single candle girandoles with glass prisms and marble bases circa mid 19th century. Measuring about 13" tall, 5.75" wide near the top, and 3" deep at the marble bases. The pattern depicts two bears and a beehive. We believe they are composed of gilt brass. They are not marked, but Starr, Fellows& Co. 74 Beekman-St. New York) manufactured a pattern called"Bears and Bees" according to its 1856 catalog, so they are probably made by that firm. There is some minor chipping and discoloration to the marble bases- particularly to the corners. The top portions from which the prisms hang are a bit loose and rotate on the center column. The bottom portion of one prism is missing, and there are a few chips to the prisms here and there(please see photos) One prism does not match the rest, so at least one ... morehas been replaced. Mid 19th Century Antique Brass Girandoles Candle Holders with Crystal Prisms
Here we have a pair of Mid 19th Century Antique Brass Girandoles Candle Holders with Crystal Prisms and Marble Bases. Great condition on these as you can see in the photos. I believe the prisms are original and are in excellent condition- maybe a few tiny nicks. They are very unusual with various shapes. Almost snow flake like, cut into the crystal. You may be able to see the designs in the crystals in some photos. There is a bit of height asymmetry due to bobeche hole differences and some minor differences to the crystal lengths. The marble bases have a few dings but really nothing to detract. They are 15" tall, the marble bases are very slightly different in size, typical of the period. Pair of Antique Cast Gilt Brass Girandoles Candlesticks with crystal prisms
These beautiful candlesticks are from around the mid to late 1800's and have been in my family for 4 generations. The cast gilt brass base is decorated with a large floral bouquet in an urn that extends upwards to Gadroon edges on drip cups. took some pictures without the prisms so you could see the design) The 10 draped leaves on each candlestick hold beautiful crystal prisms.a small square one tops the oblong triangle shaped prism. The candlesticks are 15 3/4" tall from the table top to the candle holder. They hold standard dinner candles/tapers. There is some residual wax in one of the cups. The beautiful patina of the brass body sits on a marble base that measures 6"x 4" x 1" There are 19 prisms- 1 prism is missing but can easily be replaced. Some of the prisms(6 of the 19) have a few nicks/chips but are in good ... moreconditon overall. 2 of the little prism squares are missing but the oblong parts are still there. Antique PAIR French 4 Arm Candelabras Table Girandoles Brass Enamel 1875-95
This pair of wonderful old FRENCH Candelabras date to the late 1800's and are unmarked. PICTURES TELL THE BEST STORY All the brass work has engraved design around the base and candle holders. Decorated with AMETHYST glass beads and Tear Drop Prisms. The actual candle holders do unscrew from the base as shown in pic. Bobeches included(one cracked) Measurements 14 1/2" tall without candles 8 3/4" across at widest point 3 1/2" long(Hand Painted porcelain enameled inserts) Overall Condition is very good. I did not attempt to clean(that's buyers choice) Two of the small brass arms on the top tier have come unglued and will be wrapped separately to be attached after shipping.
