Vintage Original Bobeches Crystal Prisms on Pewter Royal Holland Candlesticks
Up for auction is a pair of vintage(may be antique) bobeches and prisms set that were saved from an estate before it was sold. The chandelier prisms are being displayed on a pair of pewter candlestick holders made by Royal Holland. Hallmarked and made in Holland. This is the most unique combination that you will see on eBay! The candlesticks were purchased separately but they look beautiful together! The candle sticks measure approximately 6 3/4" tall and the base measures 3 1/2" in diameter. The candlestick holders, bobeches and crystals ensemble show minor signs of aging, as shown in the multiple detailed pictures. The prisms may be used for a chandelier repair or keep as is on the candlestick holders for a truly unique and elegant set. RARE Pair of Sandwich Glass Blue Opaline Flint Candle Bobeches c. 1840!!
The color of this glass is just superb! They are of flint glass. Made c. 1840 and I believe, Sandwich Glass. Quite rare, this color in American Flint is so difficult to locate. They seem to have an overshot finish and are in great condition for their age. With just very slight roughness on the underside of the candle opening,no cracks or repairs. They do have slight roughness to the underside candle rim, tried to show in the photos. Diameter is 3 5/8" and the diameter of the candle opening is just over 1 1/8" Rare and a great addition to and collection of American Glass. Shipping will be 6.00 within the US. Rare Dorflinger Twisted Cut Glass & Sterling Candlesticks w/ Bobeches
Here are a fabulous and rare pair of cut glass candlesticks in an all over cut design with fancy cut bobeches and sterling silver holders and fittings. These came out of an incredible Machester-by-the-Sea. Ma. estate and measure 11 1/2" tall x 4 3/4" wide at the base. I cannot find a signature but the quality is that of Dorflinger Glass Co. or Thomas Webb. The columns of the sticks have a spiral shaft with different cuttings which are quite rare and difficult to produce. The candle holders and the top fittings are marked sterling and each candlestick has a polished pontil. The bobeches are removable by unscrewing the top of the cut glass holder. These unique candlesticks are the best quality cut glass I've had the opportunity of owning. I believe they are one of a kind. The estimate on these candlesticks are $1800-2500.00.
