Description: This is a set of 2 Indiana Glass Sandwich Design Candle holders that are Amber in color. The candle holders can hold a taper candle as well. The candle holder measures 3 3/4"tall. The width measures 4 1/8" The diameter of the large end. Or the pillar end is 3 3/8" The taper end measures 1" in diameter. There are a couple of little marks on the top of the taper side of one of the holders as well as the underneath of the taper side at the seam. The bottoms almost look like a pineapple in the way they are cut! They are in great condition with just a tiny flake on the bottom corner of each one. Each have 14 cut glass prisms which all seem to be in good shape. These are heavy for their size and they stand 11 1/2" high. A very hard to find color in cut glass! This is a nice three piece console bowl and candlestick set. I believe it is from the 1940s or possibly 50s. It is in excellent condition and purchased at a local estate sale. It is a golden amber color. The pictures do not do it justice. It is decorated with a vertical round hobnail pattern along with a horizontal line pattern. The interesting pattern creates a sparkle when hit by light. Bowl is approx 9.5" wide and 5" tall. The candlesticks are approx. 6.5" tall. The Candlestick is part of a large and extensive set up for auction. If you wanted to have a look at my other items. The Candlestick is very finely made throughout and of a great Art Deco design. I was told the Candlestick was made by Moser in the earlier 1900s period and is a very rare find. The Candlestick is unmarked as I believe the earlier examples never were. As you can see the Candlestick has a finely etch decorated band with a nice scrolling design which is identical to that of the Moser Splendid glasses more commonly found in a clear color with gilding. I was unable to find anything like this set mostly being colored. Also leading me to believe it is also rarely seen. Another nice feature of the Candlestick is within the etched splendid design there is also nice multi colored enamel work. The top rim is also gold gilt, and the Candlestick is of top quality throughout. The Candlestick is in excellent all original condition with some wear to the Gold Band but no chips, cracks or repairs. This is a pair of matching amber Depression Glass candlesticks or candle holders in excellent condition. They are. However, not exactly the same height, as can be seen in the second picture. At first I thought I had just taken a bad picture- it was never apparent to us for the many years we have owned them- but, after measuring we find that one is 3 5/16 inches high and the other one is 3 inches high.
