Antique Cut Glass Candelabra 2 Light Epergne Regency Style Metal Arms
Antique Cut Glass Two Light Regency Style Candelabra Epergne We are very pleased to offer a truly beautiful antique cut glass candelabra epergne. The 2-light piece is truly gorgeous with metal arms that extend from a central base and support two bobeches with candle cups. The central top piece serves as a flower vase and is also has a cut design as well. The cut glass prisms cascade from the rim of the vase down to the bobeches on both sides growing smaller in size as they reach the ends. We believe this piece may be around the 1920's but it may considerably older. We simply are not sure. The candle cups are fitted onto plastered corks that are embedded onto metal screws. I am not sure if this is standard construction or it was a repair, as I have not seen it before. The candelabra measures 15" tall and 12" wide from the edge ... moreof one bobeche to the other. The base measures 4 3/8" square. Given our uncertainty on age we have offered this item at a very reasonable opening bid and feel our Ebay buyers will set the final value. Condition: Overall good condition but does have a few minor issues. The left bobeche has a very small chip in one tooth and the right bobeche turns freely as it may simply need to be tightened. The central vase has some interior scratches towards the bottom half due to use and the bottom square base has some scratches. Mostly underneath, where it contacted a table surface as well as a very small chip on one corner. Two large prisms off the bobeche has been replaced and one is missing. There is a small flake on one dangle, a rough edge on one, and an inclusion in the edge of a smaller, round prism near the top(I have included pictures) There may be another fleabite or two I have missed but I checked the piece as closely as possible. VINTAGE PAIR OF GLASS CANDELABRA CANDLESTICKS 4 CANDLES WITH 5 PRISMS EACH
Listed is a pair of glass candelabra candlesticks. Each one has 4 glass candle cups with scalloped edge glass bobeche's with 5 glass prisms on each one. They stand 15-1/2" tall and 10" across and 8" deep from the third arm. Each bobeche is 4" across and has 5-3 piece. 3" prisms hanging from them and the bobeche's are removable. One of the candelabra's has a arm that has come unglued from age and the glass 1" candle holder broke, but is a clean break and I do have the piece that broke off. I do believe that these were two side arm candelabra's that were made to add one or two more arms from the flat spot on each side that you can see in picture 9. I have not tried to clean the candle wax or candle burn off the glass candle holders. All prisms are there, even for the arm that has come off. I realized ... morewhile packing pieces that the bobeche that was on the arm that let loose has a crack, but has not separated and is not very noticeable. RARE Vintage France French Glass Girandole Feather Rams Horn 2 Light Candelabra
This is a neat looking RARE Vintage France French Glass Girandole Feather Rams Horn 2 Light Candelabra. I am not an expert. But did not find a candelabra like this one, but did find a feather for the center, that the seller said it was French, so I am thinking the candelabra is made in France around 1920's or 1930's, but you bid for what you see and know. Measures around 17 1/4" high and around 15" wide, from one candle holder bowl to the pother. In good old used condition and there are suppose to be prisms hanging on the 2 holders, but I don't have them, but I am sure one could find 20 matching prisms somewhere. One part, which looks like a rams horn, needs to be screwed in tighter, as this will require possibly unscrewing the holder apart, but at my age I don't want to try taking it apart. Also, I the base is maybe ... morea married piece, as it has a cut out for like an electric cord, plus the design is different, which you can see it in the second picture. I don't see any chips or cracks and even with what has been mentioned, I still think this would make a candelabra for any table. 55931 3 PC REGENCY DIAMOND CUT GLASS CONSOLE CANDELABRA SET W ORMOLU BRASS MOUNT
A very fine mid to late 20th century Regency(circa 1800) style console set. The glass is cut in a fine diamond pattern. The Classical acanthus leaf and rosette mounts in ormolu brass, the console bowl on claw feet. The candelabra have a center facet cut spire. They measure 18-1/2" tall by 12-1/2" wide at bobeches, the base 5-1/2" diameter. The bowl total measures 6-3/4" tall by 18" wide at handles, the bowl itself 3" tall by 12-1/2" wide by 8-1/2" deep. Very good plus condition: glass without chips or cracks, light film deposit in the well of bowl. Mounts in the original unworn finish, no breaks or losses. The set is for one price.
