The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. What's so cool about this ... morewardrobe trunk is that it has features that so many of the other wardrobes you see don't have or they're missing! Also. It was restored approximately 20 years ago and is still in good condition. You may want to repaint or reline the trunk to make it your own, but you don't have to worry about a bunch of repairs because they were already done. For example, the metal trim was not brass and so it was painted. It could easily be repainted to suit your needs. As for the unique, original features, the trunk includes: a wooden ironing board, metal bracket for iron, a pull out holder for the ironing board, 6 wooden hangers- one of which holds a cloth laundry bag, a removeable wooden box(holds shoes.lap desk? and 4 drawers- among other features. It's missing the outside lock and original leather handle(handle was replaced with a strong leather buckled handle) The key to the inside lock, the narrow flat bar that slides in front of the drawers, and some material behind the drawers. Some of the material is faded. The hinges and drawer pulls are secure and in functional condition except one outside latch(this doesn't prevent the trunk from closing tightly. The metal rods that hold the hangers extend out to hold the ironing board and are easy to slide in/out. All the drawers are lined with material and are in good/clean condition. The top drawer is divided into three compartments and is in good condition. The two middle drawers are in good condition too. The bottom drawer is deep and has a shallow pull out tray which exposes a cool feature. The feature is a sphere shaped cloth form that straps to the side of the drawer with leather. The original leather is still in place and functional. But somewhat brittle. My guess is that a hat could be pinned to the form to keep it safe for travel. The trunk has multiple brittle stickers(less as time goes on) from Germany

Incredible antique Dependo(Petersburg. VA) steamer wardrobe trunk in very good condition considering its age. The lock is no longer there, and one rivet is missing from one of the brass clasps next to the lock, but otherwise it's in great shape and fully functional. The trunk measures approximately 42 x 23 x 22 inches on the outside. And weights about 95 pounds. Opens standing up and has one side with a hanging wardrobe. The other side is a chest of four drawers in varied sizes. The trunk is available as local pickup only(Minneapolis/St. Paul area. It can be shipped. BEAUTIFUL wardrobe trunk that is perfect for a traveler. This trunk has some scuffs on exterior and interior due to age and use. It also has some crayon writing on the exterior(please see pics) This can be removed with some cleaner from your local hardware store. As far as the in interior it is clean and in good sturdy condition. The interior color is brown. The trunk comes with 4 drawers, 5 hangers and 1 shoe box. This is a very sturdy luggage quality wardrobe trunk complete with wooden hangers. A silk liner, and drawers. The item has been well used, so it has natural wear and tear. Everything is fully functioning, and the leather handle is in good condition. The key is missing, and the trunk does lock. The trunk is currently open and a simple wedge in the lock would prevent it from re-locking. The shipping tags on the top are somewhat readable. And one has a shipping date of 9/10/29. The trunk must predate that, but I don't know the actual manufacturing year.

ANTIQUE STEAMER TRUNK WARDROBE A n Antique Steamer Trunk Wardrobe. This is a really neat piece. There are some paper remnants which I believe have German writing. Otherwise. I can not find a marking. Woven textured exterior with oak or wood trim and leather handles. There are brass or metal sections and a heavy rubber material around the edges. The latches are working, but there is not a key. It opens to 4 drawers on one side and a section for hanging clothes on the other. It is fabric lined-lining shows wear. It measures 43 3/4" long, 22 1/4" wide, and 20 1/4" tall. I have not tried to clean this up-thought that should be left for the expert. Definitely old and does show wear, but still nice. Buyer pays USPS Postage. Pick Up is always welcome. THIS IS MY VINTAGE STEAMER TRUNK FOR SALE Let me tell you about it. Its HUGE! 3 feet 5 inches tall. And 2 foot square. Made by"EVERWARE" Trunks. Newark NJ. And made With"Guaranteed Hard Vulcanized Fibre" Its is a dark green. The pulls in side are steel the locks and hardware on the out side are brass, the brass is alittle rusted and very tarnished. There are some traveling stickers on it but are all modern. I do have a Key for the large outside lock. And the not pictured bar lock that keep the drawers from falling out. I did add some small plastic ledges under the drawers, to make them able to pull out. One of the 15 hangers are original the rest are reproductions. The bars the cloths hangers hang out pulls out, this extends the bars to a full foot, and the top flips open. The Other side of the trunk has 4 drawers. First ... moreon top is 10" X 4" has a 1/3 divider. The Second Drawer. Is 9 inches deep 10 inches from front to back The 3rd Drawer. Is is 9 inches deep 10 inches front to back The 4th Drawer is 15 inches deep and 10 inches front to back has 1/3 divider.
