Belonged to a Germany family until the middle 70's when was brought to US. I inherited from my late husband. Is a large and heavy piece about 82 x 65 inches. In fairly antique good conditions for the normal wear and age of the piece. The finish is a black resin type coating. I am not an expertise in this matter, I only goes for what I have told. Also was told that the woods was brought from oriental countries, don't know which one, and make the piece of furniture in Germany as for today this piece need some repair, can be taken apart to move out, still have the same original key and the latch works perfect. This delicately carved tiger oak armoire combines simple lines with intricate detailing on a very graceful scale. The piece has plenty of storage room despite its relatively small size(for an armoire) So it can be used in a variety of spaces. It has its original soft golden finish and beautifully crafted bronzed hardware, typical of the period. The armoire is in good condition, but there are age cracks in the wood on both sides of the bottom section(see photos) which do not, however, affect the stability of the piece. It measures 31 inches wide by 72 inches high by 14.5 inches deep. Comes in 3 pieces for easy pickup. Similar armoires of this period go for $700 and upward.

Vintage (1900-1950) Chifferobe Armoire Wardrobe
I've own this wardrobe for 30 years. It was given to me by a neighbor. I've used it for all kinds of storage: linens. Seasonal clothes, accessories, etc. It measures approx. 54" H x 39" W x 18.5" deep. Four drawers, a shelf, and a hanging rod that slides in and out. I tried to capture the exterior condition. I've never refinished it. It has some small issues on front and side bottom(see pics 5& 6) And the varnish"beads" in a few places. The top probably needs to be refinished, it has some marks. Structurally it's sound. My 13 yo told me when she was small, she played Narnia with it. The inside looks good. And to me it has a nice"peppery" smell. The drawers are dove-tailed. This is an early 1900's antique"chifforobe" wardrobe) with 5 drawers and a small mirrored door on one side. And a full size wardrobe door on the other side. Behind the full size door is a place for hanging garments with an iron hanging rod. A couple of the drawers need some work but everything else functions normally. Beautiful wood grain with wear and tear that would be expected for age of furniture. Has been in continual use for 75 to 95 years! The inside of the chifforobe is somewhat more rustic than the exterior. One drawer bottom is quite interesting(see photo# 6)I don't know if this wooden crating material was a replacement or if it originally came that way. Either way. It's been like that for as long as I can remember, and I'm 57 years old. Truly. This item would make a great display piece for an antique clothing ... moreboutique or for great storage for at home! Dimensions: approximately. 45" in width. 63" in height, and 22.35 in depth. A little bit of history: My grandparents were married in 1919. And my widowed grandmother continued to use it throughout her adult life up until her death in the early 1990s. So this is truly an original vintage item with quite a bit of age on it.

Absolutely beautiful burled walnut armoire. This beauty is stunning and it's stately design will match many decors. It has custom built shelving that we have used for an entertainment center but the shelving and drawers would be fine for a wardrobe as well. It would work as a bar. Bookcase or display case as well! Beautiful French Country Triple Armoire. both large doors open to reveal hanging areas open from top to bottom; center door opens to reveal an area with one shelf in the center. And a bottom shelf. Then of course there are drawers in the bottom center section. All hardware is intact and in good working order. Doors and drawers all open smoothly and properly. You will see in the pic there are two small splits in the wood in the top panel of the right hand door. This is not damage, just due to age. I estimate this piece to be from the early part of the 1900's. The bolts and brackets holding it together are quite old. It breaks down into about a dozen pieces for moving. Edwardian oak triple wardrobe fitted with sliding trays and drawers; circa 1900-1910; finish is original. Excellent condition measuring 77.5 in L x 86.5 in H x 22 in D. Breaks down into four sections with one center beveled mirror measuring 52.5 x 17.5. Molded top cornice above two carved sections with a mirrored center door below. Two panels have carving in the Adams style flanked by trailing carved anthemion(stylized ornament of classical origin based on the flower and foliage of the honeysuckle) panels and reeding. Each paneled door flanks the center mirror door. The"closet" sections are raised on a plinth with two aligned drawers below.
