It is QUITE UNUSUAL with ornate metal work on ALL 4 CORNERS on the TOP of the chest.as well as ALL 4 CORNERS on the FRONT of the chest. Both front doors also have a metal SHIELD decoration and one side has a key lock which I do not have the key for. Nor do I know if it works.but looks very classy with all the Victorian Fancy Hardware. When opened. It reveals 3 drawers ~ 1 larger bottom one and 2 smaller side ones. It also has an open space to the right of the smaller drawers. The HANDLES on the 3 drawers are ORNATE with UNUSUAL DROP BAIL PULLS! ONE pull is MISSING. There is one pull which is unattached and as there is some metal damage to the 2 other handles. It will need some fixing.but still acceptable for its age in my opinion. Back is made of 2 pieces of wood and is not split. Just age seperation. The bottom is covered in old felt. CONDITION: ONE SIDE of the cabinet/chest has a center split in the wood. There appears to have been some work on the side that is split.I think it is all original with reinforcing screws.but because this is not my area of

Bears the makers label for"Walnut Cabinet works London" Pl ease view my other 200 plus items for sale in my ebay shop! The WARDROBE is in good overall used condition and are ready to place in the setting of your choice. It is a very ornate piece and has a lovely French feel. The front outer edging has an ebonised finish which contrast nicely with the walnut and highlights the fancy gilt mounts, It has a carved pediment at the top above a pair of panel doors which have walnut veneered and elaborate inlaid decoration. Each door has a vase of flowers inlaid in the centre, they also have ornate gilt metal handles and the wardrobe comes with lock& key in working order, It has a mahogany lined interior which is very clean& ... moretidy. There is a single internal shelf and 2 hanging rails which run from left to right, it also has a mirror to the reverse of the R H door, The Wardrobe splits in 2 large sections for ease when transporting. The top and the base also detatch, Ideal for those tight staircases. Condition The Wardrobe is sound. Dating to mid 1900s, originally purchased and located in the St. Regis Hotel in New York City When the hotel began a renovation in the 1990s some of their furniture was sold and these pieces were purchased by me at that time. Description of Item for Sale: This beautiful armoire has been made in the French Louis XV style carved and veneer mahogany with carved bronze handles and dates to the mid 1900s. It is a high qualify item of furniture that is in excellent condition with no damage of any significance. Other than minor scratching and markings on both inside and out from normal usage. There are a variety of storage compartments of various sizes in the unit which can be seen in the images. Dimensions: 66" High 40" Wide 24" Deep

Antique French Louis XV Style Triple Door Armoire w/ Beveled Mirror
Age: 1850-1899 This stately piece is designed to break down so that it can be easily moved. The side doors are bowed in shape and curve back at the sides. They are exquisitely designed with a marquetry. Beading with a pattern of Cross Cut Walnut in the center framed the doors. A beautiful oval medallion with an urn full of flowers at the center decorates the tops of the side doors. The marquetry work is incredible. Serpentine shaped body with a bombe base and with scalloped cornice tip and cross banded frieze above a large central mirrored door with a serpentine front and with a single inlaid door to either side all with ornate gilt handles. Breaks down to three sections for ease of transporting. Tom Horvath in Totowa. NJ had completely refurbished and refinished the armoire about 10 years ago. This wardrobe was purchased from an antique shop that imported from Europe regularly and I believe is around the 1940s era. Not positive and not wanting to mislead, just not sure. It is definetly not a reproduction, that I am sure. The three doors are all intact and the center main door has a heavy beveled mirror that is in pretty good condition. The doors sit on a pin style hinge and the parts all work fair. This wardrobe comes completely apart down to the base unit that holds the drawers. the back is like a puzzle to put together but not to complicated. The top and bottom are bolted together with a spiral type bolt and only three are with the unit but it I used a clamp on the top and it worked fine holding it together, which I will include. It takes a skeleton key on the doors which is pretty common to find but I dont have one. It is a ... morenice piece of old furniture but just dont need it. I will ship it if needed but not real excited to do that and buyer will pay what actual fees will be. The dimensions are 22" deep x 51" wide x 83" tall. The amoire was built in a 1940s era furniture factory and when the factory closed down in the same decade they locked the doors with all of the furniture inside. The dealer who sold it to me had purchased the vintage and contemporary furniture from a manufacturer who started using the factory again. This is old world construction of solid wood. Elegant hardware, and classic lines. The amoire includes: Double-hinged doors that can fold back to be flush with the sides of the amoire. 2 removable shelves with 4 positionable levels, a top hanging rod, working upper and lower inside latches as well as working lock& skeleton key. It has a tall cabinet for hanging clothes and a smaller cabinet with 2 shelves and 3 generous drawers. It sits on an additional large. Deep drawer. In addition, it is crowned with a decorative scroll-work topper. The final assembled height is 7 feet. It is a little over 4 feet wide and approximately 18 inches deep. It comes in 4 parts- a stand. The wide bottom drawer, the main armoire with 2 cabinets and 3 drawers, and the top piece. The main cabinet has a large beveled mirror in the door. The mirror is 13 1/2 inches wide and 4 feet tall. The main piece is made of heavy Mahogany-like wood with mainly original fittings. You can see that the drawer pull for the bottom(of the 3) drawer was replaced. Antique Workmans Closet - Armoire
This closet is in excellent condition. It was originally made to double as a dresser and a closet. Many residences did not have closets built in every bedroom so this type of furniture combined them both for convenience of hanging clothes. There is also a small cabinet above the drawers for storage of bottles and personal hygiene products. This was produced in the early 1900's. The measurements are aproximately: 68H x 21D x 47W.
