Unusual cast iron post finial or? Vintage Mid-Century NOS item found in my late 97 year old uncles shop. Rocket shaped solid cast iron. 10 1/4" long x 2 1/4" at the widest point. Fantastic. Impossible to find something similar item. Stands 12-5/8 tall with a sq base 4-3/4" The ball is approx. 5-1/4 in dia. Was obviously off an outside cast iron fence post,ther is rust pitting around the bottom edge where it was locked down and retained water in the gap. It does not detract from its awesome look.
