2 Antique Vintage Wooden Finial Newel Post Topper Spire Architectural Salvage
Up for auction is this LOVELY pair of carved wood finials or post toppers. They were purchased in Iowa in the early 70's and have been used as decor pieces since(by themselves on a bookshelf or as bookends) They have their original paint and are in wonderful condition given their age. They were lathed turned and then painted with a silver base coat(waterproofing? then the barn red over that. They have TERRIFIC patina and character! They each mesure approx. 17" tall and 4" at their widest.

Vintage Carved Solid Wooden Acorn Finial - 2 1/2"
This wooden acorn finial looks older. But I cannot say for certain how old it may be. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall and at its widest it has a 2 inch diameter. The base has a diameter of about 1 3/8 inches and the hole in the base has a diameter of about 1/2 inch. This finial was very dry and I've cleaned it once with build-up remover and lemon oil; however, it's likely that it will dry out again. The finish is uneven and has wear and shallow scratches, which gives it a nice old patina. However, I believe that it could also be refinished. Posted with

It has a lovely design. It has a screw base and it measures approx. 5" long. Not measuring the screw. The other item I believe to be a vintage door stop. It would screw into the wall or moulding to stop the door from hitting the wall. It too has a lovely design. It measures approx. 2 7/8" Not measuring the screw. They are in good used condition. Vintage Brass & Wooden Lamp Finial
This is 1 3/8” x 1” dia. at the widest point. The paint has age cracks in the paint some of the paint is peeling off in spots. It is in very good+++ shape. Bottom half of the finial is brass and the top part is gold color. The wooden part can be refinished and paint according to the color the lamp is. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
