A nice pair of antique Victorian era newel Post Finials. The Finials are made of wood. The beehive design is oak and the other is Mahogany. The Oak finial measures 5 1/2" high x 4 5/8" in diameter across the flat bottom. The Mahogany Finial is 5" high x 4 1/2" across the bottom excluding the mounting peg. Both are in good overall condition and retain the original finish. The only thing to note is normal wear including small nicks on the Beehive design and a dent in the other finial, see photos. Solid Walnut 3 inch diameter ball. Newel post finial UNFINISHED. I will make however many that are ordered. You can buy it in walnut, oak, maple, cherry or mahogany. Mahogany and cherry will cost a little more. Cherry will be $2.00 more and mahogany will be $4.25 more. Very nice set of 4 wood finials. Purchased at an estate sale of a gentleman who made custom furniture. Cabinets, etc. They are natural wood with a clear coat finish, and look to have never been used. They measure 4" tall with a 2-3/4" square base. Ball is approximately 8-3/4" in circumference, and about 2-1/2" in diameter. Please view photos carefully to see detail and to help assess condition.
