We are unsure of the the thread size where a threaded rod would be screwed into. It appears to be 2 separate cast pieces, as there is a screw on the back holding the base to the eagle. This particular piece is unmarked, so we are unsure of who originally made this. We were told when we acquired this finial that this was used at an American Legion hall here in Chicago. Great looking eagle in excellent condition. Has screwhole on bottom for mounting. Eagle strikes a great landing position pose. Very smooth and well made topper. Just over 6 1/2" tall. 3 1/2" from head to tail and 3" from wing to wing at the bow. It appears larger than it's dimensions to me. Probably because of the way it's posed. For sale is an antique solid brass or bronze American Eagle finial that was found in my grandmother's attic while closing out her estate. Measures approximately 5" tall(when standing flat on base opening) and approximately 7" from wing tip to wing tip. Threaded stud is either 3/16-24 or 1/4-20. This piece is HEAVY! Since my grandmother passed away and we are tasked with closing out the estate. There will likely be other Americana, vintage and antique brass faucets, antique porcelain light and bathroom fixtures, as well as vintage and antique Singer, White and Standard sewing machine and treadle pieces and equipment. Vintage Hammered Copper American Eagle Flag Pole Topper Finial
This is a vintage hammered copper eagle flag pole topper finial in excellent condition. It measures 14" from wing tip to wing tip. 12" from the bottom of the base to the top of the eagles head, 17" from the bottom of the base to the wing tips and 4" wide at the feet. The mounting circle is 2" outer diameter and 1 3/8" inner diameter. It appears to be hand soldered. Your flag pole will really stand out with this at the top. U.S. Shipping $24.95.

Selling this Vintage Antique Cast Solid Brass American Eagle Flag Pole Finial/Topper. Eagle has a very nice curved 5 1/4" wingspan and stands 2 1/2" high. Between Eagles legs is a predrilled hole to mount a thin flag pole on back. The back is cast open to rest pole and has the initials MC stamped inside. Eagle shows great detail in brass. Antique solid Brass American Eagle Flag Pole Topper Finial Sculpture Statue 1890
Antique solid cast brass Eagle with two tiered dome caps with ornate cast brass curtain sash all around. The Eagle would have been used as a flag pole or lamp pole topper finial. To me it looks like it may have come off one of those old river boat paddle boats because of the ornate curtain like sash around the domes. The Eagle is cast in the old style. It is a two piece cast. The body and wings are soldered together. It is all brass and the bottom dome is painted black. The opening where the pole would go in is 2" inches across. It is in great shape with great details.
