The book has five wonderful colored prints of mothers with children through out the years with a verse to go a long with the picture. The book is a soft cover with string binding. It measures apprx. 10 3/4" x 9 1/4" The first verse starts on the inside cover, no printing on the backs of the prints. Last verse is on the inside of the back cover. It is a part of the Pansy Series, which I believe were a series of books with similar characters and written for girls. This book measures 7.5 by 5 inches and is 283 pages long. The cover is striking and would display well. The spine is tight with no lose pages. I do not see any real flaws to this antique book. The corners are a bit soft but that is about it. This auction is for an 85 book\magazine paperback series of" Captain Dreyus or The Terrible Ordeal of a Fench Army Officer and His Faithful Wife" This title is on all 85 issues as pictured. The back cover on issue# 1 has some information about the story. I've included 2 pictures that show this information. All issues are paper and faded due to the age. I've include pictures of the text and also one of the illustrations that are found in the issues. All 85 covers appear to be intact with some minor tears but nothing I could find that's was worse than minor issues. The 85 issues start with page# 1 and end in the 85th issue with page# 2720. I do not know if this was the last issue and can not find any information on these. These came from my wife's father who was an avid collector all of his life and we believe they ... morewere his when he was a child.
