Antique book written by Louisa May Alcott, just prior to her death in 1888. It was first published in 1887, and then again in 1899, through her nephew, John S.P. Alcott. This is a short work by the author of Little Women, who was an important figure in American literature and the Transcendentalist movement. The first individual appearance of this title originally appeared in the book, A Garland for Girls" in 1888. This edition is in good condition, considering its age and prior use. There are ... morefour halftone plates, illustrated by Albert F. Schmitt. I have tried to show its overall condition in the photographs, so please give them a thorough look. There is considerable foxing, with some darkening and a few minor stains in places. There is a bit of separation between spine and page, but not to the point of being loose. All pages are intact. There is also some minor shelf-wear, as this is an ex-library copy- and is labeled as such on the endpapers. Again, this book is rare, collectible and difficult to find. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thanks for your interest. Overview"May Flowers" Louisa May Alcott) Copyright 1887/1899[John S.P. Alcott] Being Boston girls.
