CHRISTIAN ALMANAC FOR NEW ENGLAND, 1829, BOSTON PUBLISHER
Not in the greatest condition. But neither are the other ones that I see. This is the Christian Almanac for New England for the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 1829 printed in Boston, published by Lincoln and Edmands. It is a small tract held together with string and knotted in such a way that I believe it may be original. As you can see, there is wear and damage to the pages. I tried to show a sampling of the various subjects and pages. It is very interesting to read. Happy bidding!

1795 Bickerstaff's Almanac Eclipse Weather Poems New England Boston Almanack
Here is a great piece of American history. A 1795 Bickerstaff's Almanack in original in tact condition. Contains poems, weather, etc. It is in pretty good shape considering the age with obvious discoloration, rips around the edges, stains, etc. Looks to be all there with both covers bound and about 11 total pages with printing on front and back but I could be wrong. I noticed one page had been ripped and taped, probably years ago. Please look at the pictures for condition and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking.

1856 Daboll's New England Almanac, LIST OF WHALING SHIPS, New London Connecticut
The New England Almanac and Farmer's Friend 1856 By Nathan Daboll. New London, Connecticut I'm o ffering this week an unusually lengthy run of this great almanac that was especially popular with seamen and whalers. Will be happy to combine shipping on multiple wins for the cheapest possible postage. Starting in 1844. For nearly 50 years this almanac provided an annual list of"Ships Engaged in the Whale Fishery" As the years went by, the list grew shorter and shorter, to only a pitiful list of less than a half-dozen ships by the early 1890s. In this issue for 1856, the list of whaling ships was already getting shorter. But still near the peak of the whaling era. In this almanac. Slightly over two full pages are dedicated to a list of whaling ships from New London. Stonington, Mystic, Sag Harbor, and Greenport. Each page provides ... moredetails for about 40 ships, and the list provides the name of each vessel, tonnage, Shipmaster's last name, Ship's Agents, and date sailed. Condition of this issue: Lacks the front and back covers. So 14 of 16 leaves(28 of 32 pages) are present. Whaling information is fully intact, right after the individual calendar pages(which are also all present) Some damp staining throughout the almanac, including to the pages listing whaling vessels, but still well preserved and rather clean overall- the old rag paper remains supple and is not brittle, and the pages are not stuck together. Please check out my other auctions this week for other old almanacs! Powered by The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
