This is a beautiful copy of Tennyson's Poems. Or The Poetical Works of Alfred Tennyson, Illustrated, published in 1888 by the National Library Association, and copyrite 1882. It has a beautiful cover in a mustard color with black and gold accents. The book is nicely illustrated. The book shows some wear on the corners and some damage to the top and bottom of the spine, but is otherwise in very good condition, especially for a book that is 125 years old. Inside the front cover there is a slight separation, which you can see in the photos, but the binding is still strong. This is a beautiful book. Antique Booklet Card Alfred Tennyson Selections - God Bless You Germany #2119
Here is a great vintage booklet Card entitled God Bless You with Selections of Alfred Tennyson. It was printed in Germany and on the front has No. 2119. Inside there are beautiful colored pictures of flowers in a vase and some in a basket and another of a little girl with short poems next to them. It's 8 pages long plus the cover. This is in good condition for it's age but not quite perfect. THere is a small stain on the top right corner of the cover that continues through the booklet. There are no tears or other marks and all of the pages are intact. I found these in my Grandmother's Cousins box of things my mom inherited years ago. I know she was born in the late 1870s to early 1880s. I started this auction off pretty low and will let you take it from here. I prefer to use Priority Mail with tracking. Maude by Alfred Lord Tennyson Roycroft 1900
This copy of Maud by Alfred Lord Tennyson has a crushed suede maroon overlapping cover with a leather label and red silk endpapers. The yapped maroon suede cover is in very good condition with no stains and minimal amount of normal wear. All the pages are bright white and are binded tightly as if the book has barely been read. Some pages have light chipping with no tears or writing. The first preliminary page has a sticker with the original owners name(see photo) This edition is 80 pages hand set in black letters and printed in red and black on hand made Roycroft paper. Published bt Roycrofters at their shop in Aurora. New York 1900. Great care will be used when packaging the book for media mail delivery. Please see my other auctions of Roycroft books.
