Good Old Man Issued. Boston 1839 by Mass Sabbath School Society. 8 pp. + wrappers Publisher's printed and illustrated paper wrappers. Total of 8 different wood-engraved illustrations throughout the text. In Poor condition. Fairly typical for a small and inherently fragile paper childrens book of this era with rough edges. Rounded bottom corner, spine ragged, dampstaining throughout, etc. Wrappers spotted and soiled, textblock toned with spotting throughout. Still, it survives-something which most other examples do not! Overall sound and despite any age flaws. Still a scarce, charming old juvenile chap book- well worthy of ownership.
