Please see my auctions for the entire collection. Up for auction is an original antique Japanese woodblock print by artist Torii Kiyonaga and dates from the mid 1800's. Marked in the lower right corner with the publishers mark and artists mark. Overall condition is nice for its age with some wear. Has a couple tin spots. Has yellowed, a couple wear holes on the upper edge, some light strew creases in the paper, no folds and has edge/corner wear. Also some glue residue on the rear. Measures approx. 14 5/8" by 10 1/4" Rare woodblock print and is a must for any collector. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 90 year estate. Please check my other auctions for other antique and vintage original Japanese woodblock prints from the same estate, including others by the same artist. I found no print date but judging from the paper used late 1800's. Measures 12" tall X 9 3/4" wide and 3 1/4" thick. Births& Deaths family pages have been filled. 2 names on Memoranda page, Holy Matrimony Certificate and Marriage pages are blank. Pages in back for family portraits. There is some water damage to the front and rear cover pages that are blank(last picture) also the portraits pages show some water damage. Text is very legible and many, many beautiful illustrations. With careful handling, you can read and enjoy each gorgeous page. As far as I know, everything is complete. Two pages in vol. 8 had tears that are now repaired with archival conservation quality pressure-sensitive tape. No other restoration or'sophistication' No ownership inscriptions or ex-library marks. Overall condition: very good. These eight(8) small folio volumes measure 12 inches high. This set(which requires 7.5 inches of shelf space) is VERY HEAVY owing to clay-coated stock paper and heavy bindings. But UPS Ground(or USPS media mail) shipping within USA will be FREE.
