A rare book from 1856 being a 19th century edition of the complete works of Shakespeare. This volume has a gold embossed vignette on the front and back of the hardcover. The spine had maginificent embossing but. Unfortunately, some of the covering is missing at the top of the spine as shown in the photos. The interior is in great shape but. As is usual, with some usual staining. Despite the spine damage(the rest of the book is in good shape) this is a hard volume to find as it is over 157 years old.
