Was $ 5,000.This heavy iron model with massive“yielding rubbers" that grind the coffee, remove the hull and the skin so the grains of coffee(beans) are ready for final roasting and grinding is the claim of the inventor. The spring loaded corrugated rubbing surfaces are pictured here and are removeable from the model. There is no mention by the inventor of a funnel, which is shown in the drawing. This model is like a big coffee grinder. This model was taken from the famous fire in 1877 and we have the certification tag from the patent office of that event which is included with the original US patent tags and a copy of the inventors claim and drawing. Very heavy. No wonder that one iron foot is broken and missing. Antique Mission Oak Arm Chair Arts & Crafts-- final listing -- lowest price
I have an antique chair that I believe dates from the first quarter of the 1900's. Solid oak, with swirled arms, rattan sides and arts and crafts stylized legs. It was purchased by my husband about 25 years ago. Overall it is in great shape for age. It can use a tiny bit of touch up on the wood where there are a few exposed wood spots. A small piece of the rattan side is deteriorated, as shown in the close up photo. Also, the cushions need new foam to prevent sagging, and new upholstery if the current choice is not to your style. The springs that hold the cushion seem to work fine. This is a very solid chair. Nothing is loose, and for most of the chair the original finish is intact. WAR OF 1812 PERIOD TO PRE-CIVIL WAR; PRICED TO SELL AND LAST TIME ON EBAY About two years ago I bought at auction a number of powder horns; this is one of the few horns I have remaining from that auction. The powder horn is 7 1/2" long. 3" long at the base and about 1 3/8" in diameter also at the base. The horn is in very nice condition showing normal wear but in very nice shape. I place this horn to be early to mid 19th century judging by the swivel hook at the tip. B&S Challenger trumpet in raw brass - price lowered and listing revised
B&S Challenger trumpet with backpack case. It's been stripped to raw brass and is nicely tarnished apart from the odd place where lacquer was missed first time round. It's in very good condition- the valves have good compression and the only signs of damage are a very small dent and a scratch. Both in the bell bow. The valve action is generally good but since listing the instrument I've remembered that the valves have occasionally been slightly reluctant on the upstroke if not recently oiled. I've just had a look at the casings and they show some faint scratches, possibly from over-aggressive cleaning so it may be worth getting the valves looked at by a repair tech. I should also note that the 3rd valve slide is stiffer than ideal although it is usable. The case shows signs of a top pocket being removed for some reason ... morebut is otherwise in pretty good condition. I may be able to offer collection from London or Hereford but please contact me about this before buying. I'll post it fully insured at cost to anywhere in the world- please contact me for a price.
