First. I do not know anything about antique books except what I can see, which I am going to tell you. If I can't see it, I will tell you what I think! But you have to make any decisionl. Chatterbox Picture Book was printed in 1982; copyright in 1883. See photo of back of title page. The pages are yellowed and are all together but loose from the spine of the book. The illustrations on each page look like. My guess, prints of pen and ink drawings; some look they are signed. Not all are the same signature. There are forty-three short stories with forty-three illustrations. A few pages have pencil marks and/or stains. But all in all, this is a nice book for 120 years old. Will ship in a box with padding due to the age of the book.

Hand written on the lower edge of the cover in pencil MAY H WAGAR 1877. I am assuming this was a gift for May in 1877. The book has five wonderful colored prints of mothers with children through out the years with a verse to go a long with the picture. The book is a soft cover with string binding. It measures apprx. 10 3/4" x 9 1/4" The first verse starts on the inside cover, no printing on the backs of the prints. Last verse is on the inside of the back cover. The back cover advertises Aunt Louisa's 36 children's books along with New Paper Dolls, Dolly Varden Dolls, and Chiromagica for family amusement.
