This magazine includes the very collectible and scarce cover by Neysa McMein of famous movie star actress Alice Joyce who she selected as one of the twelve loveliest women in America. From the early 1900s through 1937. Neysa McMein(January 24, 1888– May 12, 1949) created most, if not all, of McCall's covers. McMein was an American artist and illustrator who became a regular member of the Algonquin Round Table set. In Alan Rudolph's 1994 Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, McMein is played by actor-director Rebecca Miller. Vintage Redbook Magazine Cover in an Antique Wood Frame/ Vintage Advertisement/ Vintage Magazine Cover This 1927 vintage cover of Redbook Magazine is sure to stun you. The color is vibrant and the font beautiful. It is framed in a lovely hand carved wooden frame with such detail. The board in the back of the frame has been replace and had to be taped on due to lack of prongs to hold it. The tape cannot be seen at all from the front. There is a wire for hanging. The antique frame has a small chip on the left side. The magazine cover has some creases. Overall this combination of advertisement and frame is fantastic. Redbook magazine is an iconic piece of pop culture and here you can have one of it earliest covers!
