We have an antique, medical history book by Daniel Le Clerc(1652-1728) titled, Histoire de la Medecine" published by A La Haye in 1729. This original medical history book is Medical theory and practice of the 1700's developed rapidly, as is evidenced by this tome, which includes descriptions of diseases, their conditions, and treatments. It includes several illustrations, timelines, and book plates, executed on old, laid paper. Very nice! The book measures approx. 10.75 x 8.75 x 2. There is rubbing on the edges of the mottled calf hardbound cover. Scuffing on spine, much toning& foxing& edge tear/wear on pages, overall antiquated wear and moisture marks inside. Understandably, the covers and spine are very worn, with the front and back covers only held together by twine binding.
