Antique Oversize print lithograph? of George Washington from 1877 Gigantic 23x33
An Antique Oversize print lithograph? of George Washington Circa 1886 Gigantic 23" X 33" Gouptil N.Y. Paris London May 1st 1877 called"The Provisions Train" in excellent antique condition. Some slight foxing down at bottom where title is(see picture) and within the body of print. Top right and middle but very subtle mixed into busy-ness of print. Under glass as it once was, barely noticeable, but I have priced to reflect this. Lower left hand bottom corner& top right corner missing in white area by about 1/4" 1/2" respectively, so given the prints very large size, it appears very small. Would not show when framed or matted. Will add a picture as it just broke off after I took the pictures when I was moving it to put it away.Would be especially nice matted with a cutout to show title, as I have had done on ... moremany prints for an extra elegant look. This print is mounted on a hard backed antique surface from a framer long long ago. I will show the back as well. In otherwords.it is not a print that can be rolled. It is this hard backing that broke off in the corner. I have also included a picture of how it looked hung in the house so you can see its very large scale.NOTE: it is not offered framed as the frame is no longer available but you can see what was original and find your own suitable look. Also way easier than shipping fragile glass etc in terms of costs. Please Note: I always will refund to exact shipping if shipping is less than listed shipping.Since this is so oversize and a large flat solid shape and cannot be rolled to make a more concise package. I am somewhat guessing at shipping. Please do study the pictures well. This is an extremely handsome old print and came from my parents estate. I show it in place in the last photo for size references. You can see it hanging on the far left wall. RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fvo%7B%3Dd70f%2Bf54%3E-144d23a0150-0x115-

1800 Will of General George Washington Antique Jan23,1800 Pamphlet Alexandria VA
Authentic- Original- Not a Reproduction Antique Pamphlet dated 1800- Printed January 23. 1800 in Alexandria, Virginia days after George Washington's Will was probated- The Will of General George Washington: To Which Is Annexed. A Schedule of His Property, Directed to be Sold. Alexandria: Painted from the Record of the County Court of Fairfax MDCCC George Deneale. Clerk of Fairfax County Court- January 23, 1800_ This listing is for a 214 year old pamphlet which was printed just days after the Will of General George Washington was probated in Virginia. This antique paper was found among items I acquired from the estate of man in New Jersey. I did some research and learned that George Washington's executors presented his Will for probate on January 20. 1800 to the Fairfax County Court. There was an interest among citizens to know what ... morehis Will contained so a pamphlet, containing a copy of George Washington's Will, was printed in Alexandria then circulated throughout the country. This listing is for one of those original pamphlets from that Alexandria printing. I did some online research and found that subsequently copies were printed in the following months, however, this is an Alexandria printing as you can see from the title page photos included with this listing. To confirm this pamphlet's authenticity I shared an online copy with a well known and respected antiquarian bookseller of books and manuscripts in NJ. His clients are worldwide. He is the person who told me to refer to this Washington paper as a"Pamphlet" He also shared with me information about an auction in 2006 when one of these Alexandria printed paper pamphlets was sold for considerably more than the price of this listing. Note: This listing includes the Best Offer option. This means a"reasonable" offer as only it will be considered. This pamphlet measures 4.25" by 6.5" It is made entirely of paper with a sewn spine as you can see in the photos.

George Washington's 1796 Farewell Address - Providence Gazette - Rare Printing!
Offered here is an original. 218-year old, complete four-page newspaper printing of GEORGE WASHINGTON'S'FAREWELL ADDRESS' of September 17, 1796, which ranks among the greatest of American speeches/addresses. This paper was published in Providence, Rhode Island by Carter& Wilkinson on October 1, 1796, within two weeks of the first Philadelphia printing(Sept. 19th) and offered many Rhode Islanders and nearby Massachusetts citizens their first glimpse of this text. The address takes up the entire front page. Part of the second, and the entire back page: a very displayable issue! I think the condition is better than the one which sold on ebay back in November 2013. There is one small-ish 1.75" tear in the upper right quadrant margin. Which has been mended with a narrow, conservative piece of archival tissue, with no loss ... moreof text. Overall very good to near fine condition with light wear and some scattered foxing. This paper has it's original deckled edges(has not been trimmed) and measures 11-5/8 x 18-1/4" Please see all the images: the first image(the only scan) is the most representative view of condition and general appearance.

Antique 1896 KNIGHTS TEMPLAR Book with Photos - George Washington Cover
This 8 x 10.5 inch book is over 100 years old! I love it for three reasons: History from Knights Templar. Cover Art with Templar Cross& the First President George Washington, and finally because it is an old and rare book. Condition is not great, that is true. Water damage and spine exposure visible in photos and in person. A gem of an antiques dealer must have put a yellow price tag on the inside cover at one point, as seen in picture on left. However, WHERE do you find these books? It commemorates some centennial anniversary meeting/ event which seems to have been planned by the Hartford, CT Washington Commandery of the Knights? There are photos inside as well as an account of individuals and events. Buy it for the cover art, buy it because you are fascinated with the templars, buy it because you love history. I cannot let this sit ... moreon my coffee table any longer. I feel it belongs in a special place with someone who has a true appreciation for the art/ history/ antique that it is. Printed in 1896. Mostly brown, with gold flowers detailing the outer frame around Washington. Red square around the cross and small red cross details on hanging flags on left and right. Cross says"In Hoc Signo Vinces" in all caps. Also" A.O. 678" on left and"A.D. 1796" on right. Around the President it says"Washington Commandery No. 1.K.T. The bottom of the cross reads Hartford, Conn. This will be hard to part with, but I want it to be in the best home possible. You may return it if you have not altered it or caused it any further wear and tear. It must arrive back in the condition in which it is sent. Buyer pays return shipping. I will send it fully insured and with signature confirmation. Please email any questions, although I tried to be as detailed as possible. Thanks so much. On sale this week!
1860 SCARCE Book LIFE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON 5 Vol in 1 Washington Irving 1st Ed
Offered for sale is this rare antique book titled LIFE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON authored by Washington Irving in fair to good overall condition. It was published by George P. Putnam out of New York and has matching title page and copyright page dates of 1860 and I believe this is a rare first edition publication in this format as all 5 volumes are in this book! It is very well illustrated with engravings throughout that are just incredible. I purchased this book years ago and it came out of my own collection of American History books. The book measures about 10 1/2" by 7" and is about 3" thick. It has 821 pages and with the scuffing and the wear on edges. The book has a great old look to it! It does have some condition issues as to be expected with a book this old and large. The front leather hardcover has a partial split along ... morethe spine seam as I tried to show in the last photo making the hinge a little weaker, but it still opens and closes fine. There is some foxing on the first few pages but as you move farther into the book, the foxing is greatly reduced and the pages still are fairly bright. There is one loosening engraving that is still connected barely. The book was signed by 2 previous owners and one of them, John H. Rerick, also signed the book and added his ink stamped name to it. There was a Doctor John H. Rerick that I found in a search that served during the Civil War for the 44th Regiment Indiana Volunteers Infantry that was a rather famous individual as he was also the Editor and Proprietor of the LaGrange Standard for a period of 40 years. I do not know if this is the same man and it would take more research to find out. The gilded lettering on the spine still has an attractive look to it and the book has colored page edges. Shipping and handling to any of the lower 48 states is $8.00 and will be paid for by the winning bidder. If you are an international buyer, I only ship internationally through the Ebay Global Shipping Program. Thank you for looking at this very collectible book!

"The Life Of George Washington" by Washington Irving 5 Volumes (1856-1859)
Some slight foxing on the front few pages of each volume. Light wear on the bindings. I'll be happy to send more pictures upon request. It's a really nice set! Washington Irving’s Life of George Washington(published in five volumes in 1856–59) was the product of his last years and remains his most personal work. Christened with the name of the great general. Irving was blessed by Washington while still a boy of seven, and later came to know many of the prominent figures of the Revolution. In these pages he describes them using firsthand source material and observation. The result is a book which is fascinating not only for its subject(the American Revolution) but also for how it reveals in illuminating detail the personality and humanity of a now remote, towering icon. Here is an intimate portrait of Washington the man, from Virginia ... moreyouth to colonial commander to commander-in-chief of the patriot army to first president and great guiding force of the American federation. But one cannot read Irving’sLife without marveling at the supreme art behind it, for his biography is foremost a work of literature. Charles Neider’s abridgment and editing of Irving’s long out-of-print classic has created a literary work comparable in importance and elegance to the original. George Washington, A Biography, Neider’s title for his edition of Irving’s Life, makes the work accessible to modern audiences. The extensive introduction provides a detailed analysis of Irving’s life and times, and the difficulties he faced as he worked against his own failing health to finish what he felt was his masterpiece. This new edition of the superb biography of America’s first citizen by America’s first literary artist remains as fresh and unique today as when it was penned.
