Napoleon Bonaparte is in it along with George Washington, Winfield Scott, U.S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Christopher Columbus, David Livingstone, Samuel Colt, Eli Whitney, George M. Pullman, Mark Twain, just to name a few. It really is quite a fascinating book! It has some wear on the covers edges and top and bottom of the spine, light yellowing and foxing with light scuffing and fading on the cloth hardcovers. We have photoed the Title page, Contents pages and the covers with binding edge. Obviously, the binding edge has been redone. The front cover is not original and is tattered with taping from the binding. The back hard cover has strips of the leather missing. There are 1080 pages. Some of them are illustrated which are the Presidents. When the book pages are together it shows the gold colored tint edges. All the inner pages that have information from the Title page on to the end are in good condition. We could not determine any of them torn, loose, missing, bent or scribbled on. The inner front cover and first inner page have notations in lead pencil. There is a huge amount of historical information. We are listing this 8” wide by 10 ¾” high 125 year old book which weighs 10 lbs. 3 oz. at a no reserve selling price. So, thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
