This book was fetched out of a pile at a garbage dump in upstate NY by me when I was 4-5 years old.and I will be 40 this year. I was there with my mother and I still remember finding this book and looking at the date and saying to my mom"wow. This book is really old" so she put it in the car and its been in my family ever since. The binding is still in place but both covers have come off. It's actually how I found it. It's been stored away in the same condition for 35 years. This Bible was presented to the owner in 1925. It was obviously well-used. I think it's in pretty good condition. There is obvious wear and it shows its age. What is really interesting is that the little things the owner tucked into her Bible were still there. The picture depicting Christ carrying the cross came from an antique 19th century Bible and was later put on using decoupage. The brass eagle was also added to simulate Isaiah 40:31 This is a one of a kind piece and will really add some beauty to displaying your Bible Rear board with picture measures 19 3/4" across and 12 1/4" high. This is a beautiful. Unique piece. A miniature wood(looks like oak) pulpit with miniature Bible. I'm not sure how old the pieces are but would guess early to mid 1900's. The pulpit is very detailed and beautiful, has a candle mounted to each side. Pulpit measures 2 1/2" to top of Bible base(3 1/8" to top of candles) Width is 2 3/4" from candle to candle. Here's beautiful Bible published by S.L. Marrow in Indianapolis. I believe it was printed in the 1880's. I can't find any date. There is a written entry from 1886. With over 1000 pages the Bible has hundreds of steel and wood prints. It's 12.5" x 10' weighs in at 10 Lbs. The leather cover is fair and intact, the pages and plates are in very good shape. It includes a Bible, Bible Dictionary, maps and plates of cities of the bible. I'm not an expert in this area, so please ask any questions you might have. Thanks for looking.

Up for consideration is a. Antique Civil War Era Pocket Bible American Bible Society Signed, James Tribby. I don't know much about selling books as far as descriptions go. But I will do my best to describe this bible. On the inside of the back cover it is signed James Tribby. I looked him up and found he was a private on the union side. 20th Indiana infantry. Born James W. Tribby. Rush, Indiana, 1836. I found this bible at an estate in Wooster. Ohio. The outside is worn but the binding is still in tact. The pages are all present. p. 191 has a piece missing from it. see picture 12) All other pages are intact. The pages are in good shape with age appropriate wear. Yellowing, and markings. Antique Late 1800s Bible - American Bible Society - Hardcover
Late 1800's Hardcover bible by the American Bible Society. I'm not sure exactly when I was published because it is missing some pages but it is signed by I'm assuming the owner of the book in 1891. Cover of the book has some cracking and water damage. There seems to be some kind of lock mechanism that used to work. The outside edges of the pages have a gold sheen to them. These 5 volumes are in amazing condition. These have been packed away for years and look like they have never been opened and read. The pages are all extremely clean with no rips, tears missing parts or pieces. These have like library cards in the front but have never been checked out. There is a name on the top of each corner on the inside front cover, Jay Williams Walla Walla Washington First Presbyterian Church. There is also a name in 4 of these in very light pencil, I believe it is Minerva Haley and then the date of 1913. 350 illustrations in these 5 volumes. Volume 1 is THE GOLDEN BOOK, 507 pages. Volume II is THE HERO TALES, 508 pages. ... moreVolume III us TALES OF OLD JUDEA, 509 pages. Volume IV THE LIFE OF CHRIST, 508 pages. Voloume V Songs OF THE Ages, 508 pages. The only damage on these books is very minor scuffing on the very corners, please see photos. I think these are in excellent condition but I am not that familiar with how books are rated. These are extremely heavy and will be packed well in a good box.

Also illustrated. has parables illustrated in color- there are also many b&w engravings by different artists through- out. places in back for pictures. 13 x 10 1/2 x 5" thick. has the usual stains and marks here and there, and some spots on the page edges, but over all very nice condition. the bible was restored using the original spine. this bible will not come apart.
