1920 Antique Book RING BELLS OF CHRISTMAS collected by Uncle Timothy Excellent!
The title of this book is RING BELLS OF CHRISTMAS: Stories. Poems and Pictures For the Holidays, collected by Uncle Timothy. It was published by Ernst Kaufmann, in either NY or Chicago and printed in Germany. The book is almost untouched, in excellent condition. It has the typical yellowing due to its age. There are no torn pages, water marks, or markings. There is no printed copyright date. However the handwritten inscription on the cover page, Christmas Greetings from Calmar Lutheran Sunday School, 1928" indicates that it is at least that old and given as a gift to the Sunday School children. It is possibly a First Edition with SKU: 9990025486 and ISBN:ZZ000EUBFU. The photos of the back pages indicate the table of contents of the 64 pages. You can read the titles of the stories from there.

At the AL Thrift and Gift(please see below to learn more about us) we recently received several boxes of very old books. The donors are the family of a woman whose mother collected vintage books. And vintage cookbooks in particular(but also other kinds) So we will this week have MANY listings of antique books. We are volunteers staffing the shop and maintaining the eBay listings, NOT dealers in antique books, but will describe the condition as best we can. If you have specific questions about the condition etc, please ask. Do look closely at the photos. This book is A New Book of Cookery by Fannie Merritt Farmer. This was published in 1920. It is a greyish dark green color. Hardbound, with black print on the cover. There is some wear on the edges of the cover and the book is a bit on the grimy side from long storage. The pages seem firmly ... moreheld. A few have small stains but most are clean(although yellowed with age) There are few if any tears. This book has lots of life left in it and could be used. It is an old classic! We will ship this in a box FREE with tracking and insurance using media mail rate. This is one of several 1920s Botanical PRESSED FLOWER portfolios I will be listing. Each is a Cardboard 2-leaf portfolio. 14" high by 11" across, each leaf. Each cover gives Order, Genus, Species, Common Name, etc, Medicinal or not, and Collector's name. Some give area collected. Plants are secured with white adhesive strips. See pictures. Each Botanical page is suitable for framing. DESCRIPTION: Vintage All Original 1920s HERBARIUM PORTFOLIO. Of TRILLIUM or Grandiflora. Plants are in great condition. SIZE: Closed. Portfolio is 14" by 11" To frame the Pressed flowers, would require a frame at least 8 1/2" wide, and 11" high. an 11" high frame would make some roots out of the framed image) CONDITION: Plants are in great condition.
