It is a first edition and worth something but I thought you should have it as he signed it. His handwriting changed much in later years. Worth about $30 to $50 dollars. this is a neat old book from 1928 called Automatic Building Costs by AW Holt and published by the Automatic Building Costs Co. It has about 240 pages of tables. Figures, and charts that could be used to determine overall costs of home, porch, dormer, etc, including all aspects of home construction. All pages are in tact and are tightly bound and crisp. The binding on the book is excellent. There is some wear on the front cover and the top of the spine(meeting the front cover) but overall in excellent condition. ELBERT HUBBARD LITTLE JOURNEYS 10 VOL BOOK SET 1928
Only volumes 1-10 are available. Books themselves are in good condition with no writing. Bends, tears, stains. Bindings, also, in good condition. I think these books were barely ever read. Dust jackets have a few crimps and tiny tears on the edges and some very, very light staining here and there, probably from fingers over their life-not imprints of fingers, just a little different coloration like a bit of very light grime in a few spots. Volume 3 and 4 have small tears at the top of dust jacket. Volume 10 has the most damage of any of them to the dust jacket-see photo of top and the circle where Volume number shows through. Keep in mind they are 86 years old, but I don't see evidence of any kind of rough treatment.

I got this book at an estate sale; it included an(undated) gift card from the Marlborough(MA) High School. It then was a gift as indicated by a date entry of September 18, 1940. 1928 Elbert Hubbard Little Journeys Complete 14 Vol + Guide Book, HBw/dj, World
This version published by the World Publishing Company presumably in 1928. CLEAN AND SOLIDLY BOUND. Dust jackets also crisp with one having a small stain on the spine and one having a small tear(both seen in first photo) The boards and spine paste-on all in superb condition with the volume number on the paste-on being darkened from being exposed with a hole in the dust jacket. No markings except nice inscription in Volume 1 shown in the photo. Guide Book did not have a dust jacket. This collection looks like it was shelved in 1928 until I removed it for this listing!
