This table measures 30 inches in height. 34 inches wide by 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. This is a larger size table that would make a great center table for a room or foyer. This table is solid and tight and very well made and exudes century old elegance hand-crafted with care. The beveled edge marble top has no chips or cracks but does show some mild stains as common in old marble. The table apron has two chips to the wood on the bottom edge which I have shown in the last picture definitely nothing that distracts from this elaborate Victorian table but wanted to mention it. It is a great table dating from the 1870s to 1880s. I am confident that it has had an overcoat applied at some point in its past, but it has a warm mellow touch to the medium walnut stain finish. The table consists of walnut and mahogany. It is all hand carved with the floral arrangements on the serpentine skirts and cabriole style legs. The four legs are joined together with cross stretchers in the center with a huge center finial that is an open cup. The overall size is 36 inches long, 26 inches deep and 30 inches high. The overall condition is good and tight. There are a couple of minute chips on the marble that we will detail out prior to shipping.

This fine desk measures 45 1/2 inches in height to the top of the gallery at the back.Height to the top at the front measures 46 inches, with a total width of 48 inches, total depth of 26 inches and this desk weighs approximately 200 lbs. The pull out writing surface measures 41 inches wide by 21 inches deep and height from the floor to the top of the writing surface measures 30 inches. The knee hole height of the desk portion measures 25 1/4 inches and knee-hole width measures 18 3/4 inches. The cylinder portion of this desk raises and lowers very smoothly and has a large brass lock mechanism on the bottom which is marked: Indianapolis Cab. Co Pat. The lock is intact but we do not have the key. The inner desk portion is beautiful maple with a multitude of various sizes of storage drawers and cubbies.The old green felt on the pull out writing surface appears original and does show some wear and some spots. The left offers a stack of four storage drawers with period dove-tailed ends and the original pulls. To the right another drawer is found with a storage cabinet below. The lock is missing from the cabinet door. As you can see in the pictures this desk could easily be in the center of a room for it is as lovely on the back as the front and is finished beautifully all the way around. This Victorian Eastlake cylinder roll desk circa 1880 is in fabulous antique condition. This is a really nice old Eastlake Victorian dresser. It is in remarkably good condition. The drawers have the pegged scolloped rabbet joint very typical of the 1870's. The drawer bottoms are all original and in good condition. The top drawer which got a lot more use than the other drawers was worn on the bottom so its sides have been added onto to make them the proper size. The knobs have been replaced. But there is just one hole in the drawer indicating that the original pulls were single knobs. More pictures can be made available upon request for such things as I just described. This dresser is 98 inches tall to the top of the mirror. The dresser base is 26 inches tall to the top of the marble and it is 46 inches wide. The depth from front to back is 20-1/2 inches. Fine Eastlake Victorian Chestnut & Walnut Drop Center Dresser
Up for auction is a Victorian drop center dresser. It is special in that it is made of American Chestnut. A species that was wiped out by chestnut blight- very few mature specimens exist today. The dresser is in good condition, with the exception of a small repair(pictured) and some dings from someone's overzealous hammer use. The original beveled mirror is in good shape with some streaking as expected for a 130+year old mirror. The dresser would be a great accent piece, or could be converted to a sink basin. VICTORIAN Burl Walnut Wishbone Mirror DRESSER& Gentleman's CHEST This elegant Victorian drop front Wishbone Mirror dresser chest and matching Ladies' or Gentleman's chest is constructed of walnut with burl accents. The style is consistent with the period of"Renaissance Revival. Ca. 1860. They both have the original finish, wooden casters and working antique keys. These pieces feature Renaissance Revival/ Rococo elements including serpentine ribbed"carpenter's lace" on the edges and around the dresser's tilt mirror. They have applied hand carved drawer pulls. Escutcheons and other decorative elements in a leaf and flower design. The corners and edges are rounded. And the casings around the drawers and most edges are curved and double or triple ribbed. Vanity table, or convert it to a bathroom sink/vanity/counter. If you were to do a sink, you'd need to take the drawer bottoms off and somehow keep the drawer fronts on. The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. It measures 45 inches wide. 20 inches deep and 32 inches tall to the marble top, 90 inches to the top of the mirror. It is solid walnut with burled walnut inlays and black ebonized detailing. It has beautiful carvings, a tilt mirror, glove boxes and dovetailed drawers. There are three main drawers with handles and a secret drawer on the bottom. The mirror, glove boxes and marble top come off for transport. Hard to find one of these pieces still with the mirror and glove boxes. There was a worn piece of wrapping paper around this little mirror. And just one piece of it was saved. The last photo shows that paper! It has"1 Augest Thonsen 1878" That's what it looks like to me, but maybe I'm not seeing it correctly! The overall size of this old mirror is 8" x 14 1/2" tall. The actual mirror size is 5 1/2" x 9 3/4" tall. An expert said it is diamond dust, but I can't guarantee that. The best way to tell if it really is diamond dust is when it's damaged. This one is in encased in wood with screws and has been in a dry climate(Denver) for over 136 years, so there's no damage! The"burled" walnut is a veneer, and that's easy to see when you look at the back of it! It's a solid frame around this little mirror& it came from an old Denver mansion in 1977. ... moreI purchased many great authentic old items out of that home, but have sold most of them.
