The case has three short drawers over two long drawers, with the original brass pulls. The drawer interiors are maple. Light burl walnut veneers across the drawers. The sides have a recessed panel. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. Beautiful antique Victorian or Eastlake dresser vanity. Marble tops are ivory in color and in good shape. Original ebony drawer pulls. All 4 drawers pull nicely with unique dovetail work. There is also a secret bonus drawer at the bottom that goes unnoticed. The mirror has some silvering in it. Burl wood inlays throughout. Minor wear to be found in places. But nothing terrible. The wood looks to be chestnut, but I am not positive. Great well made piece that will last many more years to come. My apologies for the somewhat awkward photos. A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.

The drawer pulls appear to be replacements, although the pull for the compartment, plus lock and escutcheon appear to be original. B3137 Antique Wooden Dresser Top Mirror Frame - No Mirror 47"H
Offered for sale is this 19th century dresser top mirror frame- sorry no mirror. Based on the wood patina and the square nails or cut nails using. I would guess this is a 19th piece. The frame's 4 ornate carved corners look like to make of Gesso or other stuff. The frame looks like nothing missing except mirror. The wood didn't change the shapes for over 100 years, but it do need some restoration for the loosing joints, just a few nails/screws and some glue will do. And the previous owner seems to try to repaint it but he hasn't finish the job, It probably needs some time to clean the old finish and repaint it. The wood is good but I don't know what kind of wood. Where I bought this frame and I also bought an 3 old wood carving pieces. I have no idea that they go with the frame or don't belong to the frame. Antique Eastlake Dresser This is an Eastlake style antique dresser. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. A very fine antique. Circa 1860's, solid walnut dresser with gray veined white marble top. Above is the separate mirror in frame, and yoke having a pair of candle stands and glove boxes. The mirror crest is beautifully carved with roses, the dresser drawers with nice carved grips. Dresser retains the three locks with walnut escutcheons, no key. Secondary wood is maple. Mirror frame will swivel. It has been nicely refinished. Total furniture measures 7'2" 86" tall by 3'5" 41" wide by 18-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: walnut without chips or cracks, beveled marble without chips or cracks, very minor stain drip specks. The mirror is a replacement and there is a lovely piece of matching wood grained wood to the back of the mirror. There is one drawer. 19th Century Chest of Drawers Antique 1800s Maple Dresser Dovetail Top FREE SHIP
19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of maple wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 19" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. There is fantastic hand-cut. Dovetail detailing on the top surface of the dresser, which appears to serve no practical purpose. It is a beautiful yet subtle decorative element, disconnected from the boarder of the dresser top. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smaller drawers have 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. ... moreThe drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at a slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. It does appear as though the chest was painted at some point and later stripped back to the original wood. The only evidence of this is some hidden drip spots on the inside portions of the dresser. The pulls are quite old, but do not seem to be original to this piece. There are extra holes in some of the drawers where the original pulls would have been placed. These pulls look Federal in style, with oval stamped back plates and a bail. There is one area on the top surface that measures 4 1/2" 5" in diameter where finish is missing. This is possibly due to water damage. Two of the drawers have fairly significant cracks in the faces. We have gone over this piece extensively, and so have many other professionals in the appraisal business, and they are confident it is an original built sometime between 1790- 1840 most likely in Connecticut. Local appraised value of this piece is $15K-$25K. It is a very ornate, all hand carved, which is uncommon for these types of highboys.
