Offered for sale is this 19th century dresser top mirror frame- sorry no mirror. Based on the wood patina and the square nails or cut nails using. I would guess this is a 19th piece. The frame's 4 ornate carved corners look like to make of Gesso or other stuff. The frame looks like nothing missing except mirror. The wood didn't change the shapes for over 100 years, but it do need some restoration for the loosing joints, just a few nails/screws and some glue will do. And the previous owner seems to try to repaint it but he hasn't finish the job, It probably needs some time to clean the old finish and repaint it. The wood is good but I don't know what kind of wood. Where I bought this frame and I also bought an 3 old wood carving pieces. I have no idea that they go with the frame or don't belong to the frame. It fits the ... moremirror frame on top fine but don't see any old mounting holes for these pieces to mount. The mirror frame measures 47"H x 23"W(The base is 26"W) x 4-3/4" base depth. Antique Eastlake Dresser This is an Eastlake style antique dresser. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. I see a few very faint paint splatters on the dresser. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. NO cracks in marble, I can not show the whole mirror in photo, because it is a 8 foot mirror, and I have it siting in a trailer with 7 foot ceilings, I have it siting on cinder blocks, I believe the tongue and grove is called"cove" the stains on the marble can be cleaned with a paste made of backing soda and water, I have used this method of cleaning on a marble table I have, works great.it does have some scratches, but for being 135 years old, that's to be expected. pick up only NOTE: I must ask what im asking for it, because if it sells, ebay and pay pal get 13% off the top.

The mirror crest is beautifully carved with roses, the dresser drawers with nice carved grips. Dresser retains the three locks with walnut escutcheons, no key. Secondary wood is maple. I believe this probably dates to the Civil War era. It is about 21 inches tall. 23 inches across and 9 1/4 inch deep. The mirror is a replacement and there is a lovely piece of matching wood grained wood to the back of the mirror. There is one drawer. A awesome find. American empire circa 1850-60 NY made vanity/petticoat mirror. Last one of these I seen I actually sold about eight years ago at auction for 4500$. Never seen another since. This one I've had a good while but time to move on to the next stop. It's been restored to a brilliant condition And is very clean. A unique model in every way with its petticoat mirrored bottom supporting a marble top and then a harp holding another vanity mirror above. It's very early and would venture to say could be even before 1850. Crotch mahogany everywhere Makes it really pop. Look at the escutcheon made of abalone. Eastlake antique dresser with mirror & marble top 4 drawers
I wish I knew more about this dresser but I don't. I bought it at an estate sale& it really is in excellent condition. It has 4 drawers total. 2 top& bottom& then 2 smaller ones along the the top. The drawers move smooth& the mirror& marble are in excellent condition. The marble is a redish brown color. The top is all carved wood.
